There are limits on accounts for new members, it allows mods to check out suspicious looking accounts before they can post trades
I think it releases at 10 posts

I have a question about the 24 hour bumping rule. Is it once per 24 hour day? (for example, can I bump my thread at 4:00 pm one day and 2:00 pm the next day?)
Or do I have to wait a full 24 hours from my last post to bump it regardless of the day?
Thanks

If it is a couple of hours it doesn't matter, not everyone can be online at the same time but multiple bumps in the same calendar day will get your thread expired

Are there any auction guidelines written anywhere? I can't seem to find any.

Nope, the general rules for all trading is the same whether auction, trade or train.
As long as you are not bumping it all the time etc
Was there a particular issue you needed clarified?

I was just wondering if you're supposed to let people PM you with bids or have them reply with bids right in the thread, or if they are to PM them should you post them anonymously in the thread, etc. That sort of thing. The way I remember seeing some auctions done it's all completely anonymous between the bidders and the auctioner, so nobody bidding knows what they're bidding against, which doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. If I was the one bidding I'd want to know what the other bids were, but that just me. I'm just wondering the best way to go about it. Thanks.

Personally, when I do auctions, I list the "current bid" in the auction thread.
Whomever pm's me with bids, I let them know what the highest bid is and I always tell them the SC member who bid it (so members know the bids are real)

It really depends on the person
You get to be able to spot the people who list fake bids, they list auctions with the same coupons not long after the last one with no trade rating given
Also, some people do not go for the highest $$ as they would prefer $60 in various coupons to $75 in coupons heavy on one coupon etc

Some users are bumping trade threads 3 times a day.
You may bump your trade thread once every 24 hours

- You may have three threads maximum in the Coupon Trading Section, please expire threads that you no longer need. - Just a reminder to everyone.
Infractions were given to the members who started their 4th thread after receiving my PM about Trade forum rule.

I'm starting over again and would prefer to send paypal $$ the night of the trade (I'll take my chances) rather than run out and get various gift cards and then have to go back out to mail them. If this allowed and frowned upon or absolutely not allowed? I did a trade last year and both envelopes got lost in the mail, and I received negative feedback - i'd hate for this to happen again.
Previously CanadianBella... I'm baaack!
