Site Under DDoS Attack

The easiest way to think of it is how we crash a site when a freebie goes live, you know how it slows down and you get an error page etc? Imagine someone doing that on purpose times a million using software to do it instead of just ppl wanting a freebie

I had several other vBulletin hosted sites messing around earlier today so I just thought it was a server issue..

This might be the time to remind every-one to check their pcs for viruses and Trojans since most DDoSs come from remotely hacked machines.

My daughter said there was a Java-enabled virus that went live yesterday...did that have anything to do with what brought this site down?

good to know.went to log onto the forum part,blog was working.honestly i thought i was banned or something so i contacted support...lol...it was down for quite awhile so thats what i thought...nice to know

Lol. I read this several hours ago and was highly confused. I read 'pcs' as 'pics'. What? Someone hacked my pics? And my pics can take down SC? :eek:
