I find that yoghurt lasts up to 4 weeks past it's expiry date if it hasn't been opened, so I don't usually freeze it anymore. If I do, I like to do it in ice cube trays and add a few cubes to a smoothie/shake. I had some of those FPC's for the creamy and it was really good.

I'm furious! Just got back from a SDM across town as my own regular Shopper's didn't have the vitamins I wanted. 2 registers backed up 10 people deep. I have 12 items, cashier scans, I give my coupons and she berates me for not telling her first. She proceeds to spread the coupons out on the counter, take everything out of the bag, and get her reading glasses. She gets to the Irish Spring coupon and underlines one per purchase, and says she doesn't think she can take more than one. (I had 6 deodorants) I say it's one per purchase, I'm purchasing 6. The Jamieson on the other hand, is one per customer, which is why I'm only getting one. She didn't get it and called up the supervisor, a bleach blond 22yr old, who immediately said no, SHE can't do that in a very loud voice. I tried to explain what the per purchase thing means, as well as let them know the Shoppers across town, and this very store has taken coupons worded like this for years! She immediately became argumentive and I asked for the manager. The manager shows up and she immediately said to him, "SHE is trying to use these coupons on more than one product......" I again have to interrupt her and attempt to explain, but by now the manager is nodding his head with the supervisor and said the "company" that takes these has told us they won't be re-imbursed"
Load of crap, was soooo embarassed with like 10 people in line behind me, and felt ridiculous with that girl talking to me like I was a criminal.
Whew.. thanks for letting me rant...
NickiB - I had the same problem with Nexxus coupons today. They let me move forward with my purchase because 'they had a lot of stock' (I was buying 8, my husband loves it lol) I have emailed them to complain.
Email to complain or call first thing tuesday morning.
Also, what I have been known to do is buy lets say your vitamins at that one store then go to my regular store. Return them at my regular store and then re-purchase them with everything else. It may seem like a lot of work but Its a major pain in the butt when a store is out of something you want and it would mean not getting the 20x promotion
Now on a happier note I also just got back from SDM and besides the psycho woman in the parking lot I had an amazing time.

went to shoppers today, my pre-tax total came out to $49.96.i didn't realize this and paid the $52 (or so) total with tax and was on my merry way. i got home and looked at my receipt and saw that i only got 500ish points for the transaction. went back up to shoppers with my items and the cashier tried to do a refund/repurchase of my items so i could get the points. first time, he forgot to enter my optimum card so we had to do the refund thing again. the second time he did it, it was 12:01 a.m. and the system didn't give me 20x points. any suggestions for what i can do?
Call Optimum and explain what happened. They will be able to see the original transaction as well as the time the refund was done and when the final transaction was done. I really think it will be ok :) Hang on to all your receipts, including the original one before the return (but if the store kept/tossed it, don't worry -- Optimum will be able to see it.)
Big suggestion: There are a few Optimum reps who, imo, like to give customers a hard time. If you don't agree with the way s/he is handling your situation you could either a) call back and try to speak to another rep, or b) ask to speak to a supervisor (you'll have to wait 1-2 days for a callback). You deserved those points, so fight for them if you have to :)
Another thought if you don't get satisfaction - contact the store manager and explain what happened. They might be willing to give you the points directly - especially if you say otherwise you will just return the items (if you're willing to do that).
Good luck and let us know what happens!

Just a quick update... I called the 1 800 Shopper's number shortly after I posted as I was still fuming.. I had a youngish male and calmly explained that I just got back from a horrible experience at one of my local SDM. I said I use coupons, and may I ask what SDM consider's one per purchase? I always understood the one per purchase to mean I could use one coupon per item I'm purchasing. He said yes, absolutely. So I went on to describe what had happened, and he apologized profusely for the experience. He said he was calling the store to make sure they understood, and did I know the name of who I had dealt with. (Absolutely, Jeff the "manager" and Sarah the "supervisor" at SDM Edward & First) He also offered me 2000 points for my trouble, which was very nice. He asked if I wanted to go back for the vitamins and he could advise the store, and I mentioned it would likely be a couple of months before I ever attempt going back to that particular store.
Went to IKEA for the afternoon (about a 75min drive for me) to blow off some steam and cheer up. On the way back home I tried my original shoppers as the parking lot was almost empty.. and low and behold, the shelf was fully stocked now with the vitamins. Did my 20x the point shop, in and out in less than 10min, no problems whatsoever. The cashier even said, great job. What a world of difference in customer service and attitudes!
It was exciting to see everyone's lists and what everyone got at Shoppers yesterday. Unfortunately the best laid plans didn't work out well for me as I ended up in the hospital with a kidney stone and have spent the whole weekend so far on the couch...:(.
Thanks to everyone who replied to the post and I will hopefully participate next time!
Ouch Rigatti, hope you start feeling better :)
Missed the 20x yesterday.. but hoping *fingers crossed* they do a secret 20x on wednesday!

I agree - test strips work out to about 85 cents a piece and I use up to 10 per day as I exercise a lot and need to check before and afterwards. That is why they give the monitors away - its their lost leader.
Insulin prices are OK. I spend about $4800 per year on insulin and test strips which are all thankfully covered by my work health plan and another $2400 on insulin pump supplies which are paid by the Ontario government along with the cost of the pump ($6200 every 5 years). I will NEVER quit my job as the health benefits are worthwhile to me. But I really do LOVE SDM for the points, because just the supplies alone gets me 1.5 million points per year which is the only benefit to having this bothersome disease.
Got an e-mail invitaion for a 20x on Wednesday - I did this on Saturday so I won't do a repeat performance since I won't be spending another $50.
Unfortunately it wasn't Tuesday since that's when they have their "manager's special" markdowns where I shop (every Tues like clockwork - I LOVE it!)
