Any thoughts? She's very slight and resists the nasty "b" word, but I want to give her some options as she starts junior high.

Have you looked at the ahh bras/genie bras/etc? They don't look or feel like a bra so maybe that's a good stepping stone. They also cover a lot more than some training bras.
If she's at least an A, try looking for non-underwire daybras at lasenza or victoria's secret.
Avoid anything with NO padding whatsoever. My first bra was this horrible fruit of the loom thing which was basically straps on a tube of tshirt fabric. No girl wants their nips to show, so avoid stuff that's just single-layer.

Thanks. No justice or victoria secret here. I bought a Rhonda Shear set for myself a few years ago from TSC. They are what I call a leisure bra, and I'll put them on under pjs if I'm hanging out in them but I don't wear out of the house. That type would work for dd, but I'd like a cheaper price that they are now. The genie ones are $60/6 plus shipping. What's up with the all the bandeau type ones without straps I'm seeing around? I'll have to check out walmart when it's not crazy.
