I am new to using coupons and I took some that were printed from the computer...... they were ones that were the manufacturer's coupon, so they said. Well, the manager at Food Basics wouldn't take them. He would only take the ones that I received in the mail..... the glossy ones that were sent to me.
What gives? Are these coupons taken anywhere?

Unfortuneatly, not everyone takes the printed coupons, and Food Basics is one of them. There is a dedicated thread to Store Coupon Policies, it has alot of the stores.

There are hardly any stores in my area that take self-printed coupons. There has been too much fraud with them that the stores simply refuse. I can't say that I blame them. My Food Basics will not take Save.ca or Websaver coupons either
as a result I only go there for stuff that is on sale at an awesome price and choose to do the bulk of my shopping elsewhere.

They had a sign up at most stores that said they do not take printables coupons from the internet.
My store still takes websaver and save.ca - go coupons - hopefully this will not change.
Reason being they do not take printables - you will get the person who will go in and clear the shelf when there is a free product coupon such as buy 2 ziplocs save $4 - at $2 a piece.
What city are you in that they do not take websaver save.ca> Decaf

I've tried as well and Food Basics doesn't accept printable coupons which stinks!
Does anyone know if No frills accepts printable coupons? I need to make a trip there later today.

Someone posted earlier that NF does but mine does not accept them
if you bring your FB flyer to Walmart, they will let you match the price and use the coupon
