Here is a post from a while back, I always carry this around in my coupon binder so that as soon as the cashier/other worker says "no" I can pull it out and prove it to them.
http://forum.smartcanucks.ca/18594-s...actice-canada/
I find that if you ask a worker at any store, they will act as though they have never heard about scanning code of practice.. The Walmart here where I am, they always act as though there is no such thing.. However after a lot of showing the print-out to a bunch of workers, I finally usually will get my SCOP (or SCOPE).
I think that at any store about 75% of the worker's either don't want to do a scop or have never heard about it.

You should have gotten it for free. It's as soon as it scans; I used to be a cashier.

That's not right! Definitely should have given one free right there and then. The only place I have ever seen the cashier actually implement the SCOP was at Safeway.
