Chat-A-Thon Thread

Good morning everyone. It another sunny day :). We had a bit of rain last night, but I'm all good with that. Going to have a very busy day today. My iPhone just quit working yesterday, it won't even turn on. I've never dropped it or anything. It's not even a year old so I'm not happy. Have to go get that fixed. I'm heading to. Friends to try and have a talk with them ( they are in hone same situation we were with our youngest...addiction of their son), only difference is that they are uber wealthy, and refuse to think their son has an issue.

Their daughter has begged me to come talk to them, so...wish me luck I'm in for a long day I think.

Good Morning everyone, and thanks cab. Well, I was there for about 3 hours, in the end, I think that the dad got it, but the mom won't hear of it. They pay their son $4500 a month for helping dad, put ads on computer for their heavy truck and car business. I tried to explain that by giving him that money, they are killing him. So, I will jut pray that they get it.

On the up side, my phone s fixed :)

Holly at least you tried. off to bed and doing 3 more afternoon shifts before going back to nights July 2nd. Doesn't mean no more afternoons but by the 2nd wouldn't have done nights for almost 2 weeks.

Sun is struggling to decide whether to come out or not! At least the rain should hold off until tonight - and the day should get to low 20s.

Last night, Milan came over - his phone got fried, his laptop doesn't work, and so he apologized for just dropping in - but no, we tell him he's welcome anytime, OF COURSE - and he knows it, no advance notice required.

He had gone camping Saturday with friends to a provincial park down south. He 'lasted' three nights - he's just not the camping type, but was willing to give it a shot. He said he just couldn't relax, couldn't get into it - and it wasn't because of the rain, the leaky tent, the deflating air mattress, lol!
This way he can finish out his holiday week doing what he wants to around here.
But it was funny, he spent the night before, then the day yesterday on his own - it was his housemates he went camping with, and they are there til the weekend - and he said he didn't like being so much on his own, which is why he came over!

And he brought us this most amazing poppyseed strudel from a small Ukrainian town not far from where they were camping - he was urged to go there - and wowser, some fabulous Baba baked something wonderful!

Some crazy nutjob went bananas in our city last night - led the police on a wild chase, and he left a path of destruction through many parts of the city - wrecked four police cars and many, many other vehicles along the way, aimed his vehicle at an officer to try hit him - this went on through mid-afternoon and into the evening. When Milan came over - he's from that part of the city - it was after 7 p.m. and he said he saw the big cop units out, officers with guns drawn, etc.
Canine unit final got the guy. Can't wait to hear the rest of the story.
