Chat-A-Thon Thread

You know the race riots and stuff that's been going on in Baltimore?
Well, a nephew of mine from here went there a few days ago, luckily he just had to fly into that airport, then drive an hour away to where he would be working for several days - he returns back to Baltimore tomorrow to fly back here.
So he's been away from the troubles - other than it being all everyone is talking/worried about.

Find out today that another nephew of mine, the above's cousin (from a different city, totally different job from the one above) is flying to Baltimore tomorrow.

So, sheesh - two prairie boys in such proximity to all that's going on - quite odd...

They each do go to the US occasionally for their jobs, but this is just such a coincidence.

I like this idea where we can really meet new people :)

Nat...Baltimore isn't somewhere I'd want to be right now...I'm also binge-watching, only it's CNN! So much distrust of the police in the US....did you hear the report from another "passenger" on that ride that said there was no rough driving, that Gray was trying to harm himself in there?! Wow...things are going to go from bad to worse!!
Going up to a balmy 17 today, I got my homework done for my painting class...fingers crossed my teacher approves, lol!!!

oh no Lynn, I dragged the eliptical machine into the room and I am walking/combo stair climbing as I watch the show. Then I flip the machine to stationary bike and continue to watch as I cycle. bwahahahaha!!!

It is true to say that Cancer sometimes wears you down in more ways than one,
It is always there with you & can be the *thing* that is ruining your fun,
Stiff upper lip & be positive & strong,
Wouldn't it be better if this incongruent would just move along?
Sometimes I find myself about 20 stops past being annoyed,
I am keeping my winning attitude up front & deployed,
One must let that the bad times be expressed to conjure up the good,
There are no rules about just how you should,
It always works out & the angst always passes into a better frame of mind,
It’s just that cancer sure isn't fair & so far from being kind.
