Well the sun is now hidden by horrid, terrible smoke - smells like an awful campfire in the house. (As opposed to a good campfire - the kind you make weenies and s'mores on...) I won't even go outside.
I posted some pics in the weather thread.
Too many forest fires up north over the past while, and now the smoke has hit our city. Hoping it shifts off very soon.

Nat, it just goes from bad to worse out there for you. I hope it all clears up soon, without anyone getting hurt fighting those fires.
The donuts were sweet, gooey and absolutely illegal! :tongue: I don't think I've had one in two years! :P

The fires aren't close to us, we are just getting all the smoke blowing from them up north.
But what's going on up there is just terrible - I think there are over 100 fires. No rain. Wind. Hot weather.
It's in areas north of Prince Albert - LaRonge area seems to be the worst.
People are being evacuated to Prince Albert, Saskatoon, North Battleford - and even to Regina. Just wherever there is a facility to fit people.

Just to judge - Prince Albert is about an hour and a half away from Saskatoon; LaRonge is about 3 1/2 hours away.
Sorry, we measure in driving time here....
There are many First Nations communities in that area - many had advance warning, so those most vulnerable were already moved. But now highways are closing, and it's become more dire.

Still under a high risk air advisory, apparently another few days of this.

Nat, OMG that's awful !!! All that smoke can't be good for breathing. Let's pray for rain, and the safety of the fire fighters, and the citizens.

Good morning, quick note...all packed and ready to head to camp for 6 days!!! DD was just here helping my hubby pack things into the van, now she's gone and we'll be right behind her....
