Morning Ladies and Gents!
Almost the weekend...I can do it! haha
We are expecting a sticky, humid weekend and next week as well, I was really enjoying the non humid weather we have had these last few days.
Hi, just dropped in to say Hi.
Whew! Jenny and I wandered into the back yard, and with my crutch under an arm and water hose in my hand, I managed to water the garden and hanging baskets and pots of herbs! I pinched the little flower heads off our basil and oh, do they ever smell wonderful!
We are now on the sofa resting.
Getting better every day! :)
Wow Lynn, you're really doing great !!!
Thank, Hicks, pushing myself as much as is comfortable..:)
And Jenny does bark her head off normally, but they caught her by surprise and honestly, I thought there would be a puddle where she stood!
Outside just swingin' with Jenny...Hubby just brought me a glass of wine and I'm so enjoying the summer!!
Have you been outside in your gardens today, Hicks? Is it sunny? Muggy? We have a breeze, but it's barely cool....not muggy, but I sure wouldn't want to be in the sun!
A puddle. :lolsign:
After the vet's & a walk, just finished mowing the lawn. Didn't realize how muggy it was. I looked like I went swimming by the time I finished. Just sitting & reading, it felt really nice, hot, but not humid.
I'm just about to crash on the couch. The Jays game starts in a little while.
Enjoy your wine, and the rest of your day. Actually a glass sounds nice about now.
Salute, Darling!!

I'm sure we can get through both bottles...
Well, thank you love; I'm sure we can. Me, I drink white.
Oh, BTW, Jays win 5 - 2 :clap2:
Got to get back to my BBQ
Hello folks! Well, we have decided upon someone to fix our "leak." It will involve smashing our front walkway, digging up our garden and fixing pipes that have broken or been plugged up with silt. THEN we fill in holes that have developed in the ground and let it all settle before we can put down a new sidewalk. (This should take a year.)
So then, I have to buy and re-install the insulation in the basement and re-install the vapour barrier. Then clean up the basement floor, and seal it.
I did buy and install a new blind on the window in the garage. Between the blinds and the window, we hung a mirror which has a stained glass perimeter. I think it looks quite nice.
I went and picked up my new mouth guard from the dentist today. About a few days after I had ordered it the old one mysteriously showed up RIGHT BESIDE my bed on the rug! I think the vacuum moved it out from under the bed. But it was old and chewed and really needed to be replaced and is covered 80% by our insurance so all is not loss.
Db and I went to visit the cemetery today as it is 4 years today that we lost our mum. We took her some flowers and had a nice little "chat" about what's going on in our lives. Then we went to Tim's as she loved Tim's. (All I could eat on this new no-dairy, no-sugar, no-caffeine diet was a toasted dry 12 grain bagel and a cup of ice water.)
It was a gorgeous day today and I'm enjoying the weather this week!
It must be nearly the weekend as golf has started on TV - it's the Canadian Open! And dh has actually played that course, so he knows what they are facing on each hole.
Take care! Have fun!
Attachment 288494 Happy Friday Everyone.
Am I the first one here this morning?! Wow. That hardly ever happens!
An un eventful morning, Jenny merely hesitated at the door for a second before she confidently trotted into the backyard to do her business.
Another absolutely perfect day!!
We lost a phone. I have NO idea how we could sit outside, how I could talk on the phone with a friend for almost an hour, then grab our readers, ipad, delivery box, wine glass, then realize we can't find the handset! I know I only brought in the box and wineglass because I couldn't also balance a phone! Hubby denies bringing it in. We kept calling it, using the "find handset" button, nothing. No phone ringing at all!, how on earth does that happen?! Last month we searched high and low for two of my hubby's casual watches. Nothing. A while later, there they were, clear as day, just sitting out there! We should have seen them! If that phone suddenly shows up out of nowhere, I'm moving!!!
Avon, you've been through the wringer with that basement, and thank heavens you now have a solution and can begin to...ahem...dig yourselves out of it to a good conclusion. One day at a time, you don't have to do it all in one day....your health is more important, Sweetheart.
I sure hope you all have a less eventful, wonderful FRIDAY!
Good morning all. It's Friday, and I hope every1 has a great day.
Me, I've been nursing a migrane since about 3 this morning. :(
Gotta walk the dog, then back to bed.
My vision is out of whack right now, so I'll have to read your posts later.
a quick hello here! Off to NF soon, then maybe WM to grab my free cereals!! Such great sunny weather again! Loving it. Lynn I hope you guys can find that phone?? ( or else it's ghosts maybe? )
Good morning! I've been up, just busy watching MasterChef Australia, though - it's close to the finale, so it's awesome.
Another hot one today, close to 30, too much humidity for me. But no rain... gah!
Thinking lots about my Dad today - it's his birthday, he would have been 95 - I can't even picture him at that age, since he died at 66.
Hope you all have a wonderful day!
