Said 4 year old has been in bed since 7, and the big guy is watching TV... we're gonna play bingo in one of the FB coupon groups I'm in at 9 :) He likes to circle the numbers lol
oh that sounds like fun! how do u get ds to bed so early? 7 is like a dream of mine to have them both in bed by - last time i tried it, ds woke up at 4am ready for breakfast!

He doesn't usually go to bed so early but he was super crabby so I put him to bed early.

lilPenguin is in bed and the Penguinettes are making thier school lunches.
Both my kids are always in bed by 7pm. It's non-negotiable here. lol. Been that way since DD was maybe 6 months. DS just had to fit in to the schedule when he came along. lol. Thankfully he did pretty easily. They are so used to their bedtime that they dont even put up a fight. It's dinner, bath, pj's, a book or two and then lights out.
Some people think I'm weird that the kids go to bed so early but it's a routine that works for us. Some of my friends are still out with their little ones at 10pm! Nope. Night-time is ME time. lol. I need a couple of hours to watch tv or read before I hit the hay too (which is usually by 10pm since the kids get up by 6am).
Speaking of which, think I'll see if anything is on TV for a bit. *yawn*

As kids we had early bedtimes, I think 7:30 until we were 7 or so then up 30mins each school year maxing at 10pm on weeknights and 11 on weekends as teens. We just had to live with it
hubs is preparing his lunch then off to bed. up at 5am for him.. one is settling in for the night in his new cleaned room and other will be joinin him shortly. mom needs some downtime badly tonite.
According to the doctor at the walk in clinic, my infections are caused by Allergies.
I always had the brood in bed early too. EVen now lilPenguin is in his room at 8 and in bed by 8.30, Penguinette 2 has her quite time at 8.30 and bed at 9. Penguinette 1 is 9 and 9.30 bed.They can stay up later on week-ends especially as we are watching Dr Who on Saturday nights....Quote:

I don't understand why stations like Treehouse are 24 hrs though. Even when one of my kids threw up and I had to re-make the bed, I didn't put the tv on for them. It would only encourage them to want to stay up longer.

discovered that some-one had unplugged the filter and heater to one of my tanks causing the deaths of my baby puffers...:frown:
we decided to move the other 3 fish into the second tank and I'll change the water tomorrow and reset everything..so catch the gourami ok. first cat fish was a tricky little thing and in order to catch it, we had to remove the wood and rocks to give me space to manouever.
second catfish....no sign...WTfish...saw it when I started fish catching and now it's not in the tank...oooops! It had been taken out on the wood and was now on the carpet moving at an impressive turn of speed..so I spent several minutes try to catch a dark coloured fish on a dark coloured carpet under the table...
It seems no worse for it's experience.
I need a beer now...
