Good morning every1.
So did I Nat, but took a sleeping pill to make sure. Worked like a charm. :)
Cold, an understatement. -17 with a windchill of -29. Sure glad I can't go out.

Too damn cold outside for this puppy!

My police check came back OK. So they will now send my paper work into head office. Manager will call me Tues or Wed to go in and sign papers. Hope everyone is having a good day. :)
hicks, glad you got some sleep. Wish I had the option of sleeping pills, but they scare me. I've tried the zzz over the counter stuff, both branded and not, and neither did a thing for me.
Going to try grab a nap now - even if I don't sleep, at least I'll rest this old bod. :)
I didn't even realize that I didn't check in here this morning until just now....I was waiting for 10am when the BlueJays tickets were going to start selling at Ticketmaster, and meanwhile I had 4 on hold at StubHub, but good heavens, the thingy kept spinning forever, so I just took the StubHub tickets. When it finally did offer me tickets, they were way up high where I wouldn't be able to see the game with these eyes, and for only a little less in price!!
The plans are finalized for Hubby's 70th this June: the kids and us will fly to Toronto early Friday morning, check into the Trump, have lunch, probably visit the aquarium, see the Jays that night, then Saturday, the ROM, then dinner at 360 at the top of the CN tower, then the theatre. We'll be taking it slow and easy Sunday morning before our flight home. Now I just have to get strong enough to pull that off!! I imagine at the ROM I'll take a few breaks, and sit with a cuppa tea for a while until I phone them or they come and fetch me. Everything else should be fine.
Then I had to get ready for painting class which turned out better than I expected; my teacher really seems to be enthusiastic about this painting, so I'll see how it progresses. He told my Hubby I'm my worst critic...:)
Cabbie, congratulations on your new job! You should write a book on how to land jobs!! You must have quite the personality to impress employers the way you do!! What job will you be doing, exactly?
Hicks...as I mentioned, this is absolutely not healthy for you and you just have to try and find a way to get over this mental block of sleeping at night. I went through this when I started getting better after my surgery, but still confined to bed with that cast (oh, how did I get through that, thinking back??!!); being in bed all day then poof, it's nighttime and time to fall asleep wasn't easy and I relied on sleeping pills to at least put my lights out and turn off my mind; I never got 'addicted' to them and sleep is essential to good health, so it would have been a trade-off anyway. But that never happened, thank goodness. I only took Sleepeze, not anything prescribed or narcoticy. I hope something helps you soon.
Nat, it's great that you had such a lovely night's sleep and felt so refreshed. That came through so clearly in your post; I wish you the same tonight.
Cabbie, if a nap is any longer than about 20 minutes, then yep, it'll make you even more tired than you were before. There's some kind of science to that which I can't remember right now, but it's so true; 20 minutes does the world of good...after that, the world of bad..:)
Well, Peeps....sleep well, have lovely dreams and wake refreshed!! Sweet dreams!!

I fall asleep designing new clothes for myself...
The Store is 20% retail and 80% industrial paint shop. They will start me on retail side and slowly train me for industrial side. Will be mostly customer service and mixing paint. Yeah I'm pretty good at interviews and can really talk lol. The regular guests at the hotel were usually happy to see me when they arrived. There was a dentist from Toronto that worked here so stayed in the hotel 4 nights a week. One morning I was standing with the manager and on his way out to work the dentist said this is your best employee right here. The manager replied oh you don't have to tell me, I know.
Ask your doctor about Immovane. It's non-addictve prescription sleeping medication. If your use it wisely (as in sporadically) it can get you past those tough nights.
I'm out of mine. I was up til 5:30am yesterday. Ugh!
I only take 1/2 pill, but it's enough to get you to sleep for at least 4 to 5 hours.
Happy Friday everyone.Attachment 305293

Morning gang.
Took the day off yesterday to go see the family doc.
He had a quick look at me and said everything looked ok, just the flu that's been going around...but nothing as bad as he's seen in others.
So back to work for me today, feeling better though.
Good thing it's a long weekend for us Ontarians this weekend (and BC, AB, and SK).
Have a great day everyone!
