Happy Saturday everyone.Attachment 307841
Good morn, Happy Caturday!
Well, our son tried his best to fix the computer here - it's better, but not really...
Next time he's over, he's going to give it a cleaning to see what that will help.
Hope you are all enjoying spring!

Finished work at 5pm but i caught another cold and I'm so tired. Was good overall though for my first full shift alone. Did some paint and matched a colour for someone from another companies colour. Back at 1.30pm mon and then 3 off. And finally lunch with my aunt Tuesday. Talked to manager and he's like by the way you have more computer training and I said yup I saw it and it's done. ;)

So in case some of you don't go to the pets thread: our DD's kitten has a broken leg. They were out with her staff last evening, and this morning they couldn't find her, and she was hiding under the bed which is unusual since she usually scratches at her hand to wake her up. She wouldn't come out, and when they did, she screeched, and ran off, on 3 legs only!!
The vet today x-rayed her, a long break, and a fracture down from there; very badly broken. He suspects she may have gotten it caught in something, but jeepers, what?! Anyway, they should hear tonight when they can get her in for surgery in Toronto...an unexpected family trip..:( Poor critter.
She's in a cast and has a cone to wear and is sedated and has pain meds, so......until her surgery, she'll be well tended.
Anyway...hope EVERYONE ELSE'S day went a little smoother than poor wee DJ's...
St. Patrick's Day week begins. We don't have any snow left where we are & I am kind of hoping we are done with it.

Thank you, Loocie...yes, youngsters' bones knit together nicely thank goodness, but oh, the poor little thing. We can't explain things to our pets, but giving them all the love we can while they're sick is hopefully enough for them to know they're loved.
This "rescue cat" is costing them a fortune!! :-~
aw POOR baby^^^^^ thank goodness they discovered her when they did, I hope she was not in agony too long before the vet visit.
Oh My goodness, Lynn! Poor kitty -cat! Did you say that they took her to Toronto for surgery? ?
I'm wondering if they can find out how it happened? Wouldn't want it to happen again.
I came home from school once to find that my cat had wound it's foot up with yarn around a sofa leg over and over again and then pulled it so tightly that it had cut off the circulation and was hughly swollen.
Luckily I cut him out and got him right to the vet. He was fine but it would have been touch and go if I had not gotten home when I did.
You can believe that I never left my knitting around after that!
Your grandson must be so upset!
Hugs to you and all.
Hoping everything turns out well and she gets surgery soon!
If they don't hear tomorrow, they might try getting in touch with the University of Guelph. They have a well respected veterinary school.
Oh Lynn, now I am reading about your back! Good grief! I know what you mean about ice and heat. I always reach for heat- dh can never use it, his back would go into spasms!
I know what you mean about not believing that the "me" inside is really the "me" on the outside.
On beautiful winter days, I surely wish I could still ski- but my poor old knees just won't let me.
Hugs to you girlie! Maybe a nice gentle back rub might help? ??
I, no we've been out all day, and just got home.
Lynn, that's such a shame about your dd's kitten. Poor little guy. So sad. :(
Sorry they have to come to Toronto for the surgery but if it's the best place for him, I guess there's not much choice.
I wish / hope they can figure out what he got caught up in, so they can prevent any future mishaps. :(
As we know, a broken leg can be very painful. Speaking of pain, how's your back doing? I know what you mean about the heat vs ice. I found heat relaxing, but the doctors ordered ice only. They said that heat only inflamed the nerves and muscles, and any relief would only be short lived, and actually back fire. Because they'd become inflamed, they would start spasming, and I'd be worse off.
I hope you're feeling some better though.
