MORNING!!!!!!!!!!
I'm sick as well - got a throat infection - no voice, a bad cough & cold :(
angel, I just realized I 'liked' your post - BUT I don't really like that you are sick!
Sorry your cold progressed to an infection, that's what I've been worried about with mine; I get bronchitis or strep very easily, but am okay so far. The cough gets so bad, I get all croaky and lose my voice, which my son enjoys making fun of!
Hope you are better soon! (and me, too!)
Hope both y'all get well soon! I've had this unnatural headache the past 2 days, never had this before, never want it again.
:( sorry to hear angel what a bummer!! i'm also on antibiotics hope you get better soon
Angel, hope you feel better and are well soon.
Morning Nat, Hi Vesper, what's doin' Bub?
lol, i got ya Nat - my infection just came out of nowhere - no warning signs. I was Sunday, and woke up Monday morning with no voice - try yelling after 2 kids (and while I was typing this post, DD pulled the toaster from the shelf) with no voice and just waving arms, lol. At least today I can whisper but thats about it.
I have to look for my cabinet locks etc, cause this little one is going into everything. She's into "cooking" right now, so she has a plastic container with a small spoon, and she's stirring away. Well, right now she's opening the fridge. I forgot how tiresome 16mth olds can be
I feel a headache coming on grrr
I'm on Dimetapp C and apparently it has codine in it (which makes u drowsy) - I even asked my doctor for a medication that does not make me drowsy cuz i got the two kids to look after, but because the infection is pretty bad, that was apparently the only thing he could prescribe me. So instead of taking it 3 times a day, I'm only taking it at nights.
angel, I remember that age well! Hope you can find a nice nap time with her so you can rest! :)
Oh i wish i could nap - i remember taking naps with DS - but when DD naps, I clean.
I also found that I'm more grumpy after naps, so I just avoid them now.
and if i was cleaning now, i wouldnt be able to be on SC, lol
Hm... I've wondered if I would have done anything differently had there been an SC (or internet, lol) when my son was little and I was at home with him - I don't think so, I just wouldn't have been on it while he was up. Time spent with him was too precious for me to be distracted by doing other stuff - I wasn't the type to put him doing something on his own very often til he was older.
and the start of a headache is now a full blown headache
Started my weight routine yesterday! Having a hard time with lifting my purse and walking stairs ! Lol
oh vee i hope you took some advil! :(
I did and its gone thanks! Have to go see my orthodontist today and I don't want a headache lol
Hoping all us sickies feel better soon!

Hiya my peeps! What's everyone up to tonight? :)
So sad right now. Just got sad news from a friend. :bawling:
Just remember that life is so short, appreciate all your loved ones every minute!
Oh Lola, I'm so sorry :(
Far too often we take the people we love for granted.
So true sheets!
I'm just still so stunned. Like speechless for once. :(
I should tell the back story...
Our daycare centre got a new girl when my son was enrolled - well she was actually from the sister site but was on mat. leave for a year and they put her at our centre when she returned. Anyway, she is my son's primary care provider (in charge of the toddler room).
Over the past summer we've become pretty close. Our lives are eerily similar. Both the same age, same personality, have boys the same age (within 1 month or each other), our older kids are close to the same age too, both hubbys in the same line of work, etc.
As of May - My DH has been gone off and on for work (I'm sure you all know from my complaining. lol). Her hubby started travelling in August. Same line of work, similar travelling. We bonded on how hard things are without them and cried on a few occasions together because of the stress, etc.
I even surprised her with a "survival kit" (chocolate, bubble bath, funny card, etc).
She is honestly the SWEETEST person I've met in a LONG time! And simply Fantastic with my son.
Last week I got a note in our son's cubby that she had a death in the family and she would be off for a while. Of course DH and I said to send our condolences and tell to her if there's anything we can do... You know the same old thing everyone says. I figured it was a grandparent or something and didn't think much about it.
DH just came home from a different daycare workers house (she had a plumbing emergency and called him) and told me it was her HUSBAND that died.
Seriously, I'm so stunned. There are no words for it.
I can't even say how many times I thought about DH driving home on those remote roads and stayed up worrying.
And now thinking of her going through this is just so sad. It's bad enough when you DH is gone for a few weeks, let alone forever. I feel awful for her. Having to explain to his 2 boys. My DS is a month older than hers and I dont know how I'd do it.
oh my Lola. how tragic. (hugs) to you and her and her family.
