Lol, I like all kinds of veggies like that. Just a little salt and butter but even plain often is good too. I was an odd kid. When I would go with my mom to swiss chalet. The waitress asked if I wanted fries with my chicken and I would say no I want peas. She would look at me like I was nuts and my mom would say you heard him, he wants peas. :) Used to always go to a place where dessert was included for kids and the waitress asked if I wanted jello or pudding and I asked if I could have a slice of watermelon. I knew they had it because they garnished all their meals with a slice. and I used to eat green peppers whole, seeds and all lol.
Hello folks! Well today was the day that DH lost his hair. It literally came out in handfuls. The PSW and I spent quite a while removing the loose locks. It has not all gone, but his scalp is really sensitive. I will be looking for a baby brush to use on the part that is left. He may lose it all - or maybe not.
We were having quite a light-hearted day but then he took a tumble - tripped over my foot. He injured his big toe on his GOOD foot. Getting up was the concern. After quite a challenge he was able to get back on the couch and has been ok. The nurse came and evaluated it and put a bandage on his toe. She said he'll probably lose his toenail. So a day of "losses".
He is hoping his favourite college team - the Florida Gators break that trend.
I took a back pill because trying to help him after the fall was quite a challenge. Now I am fighting to stay awake.
Cabbie - I didn't get to mention what a lovely property you have.
We have set up a "Caring Bridge" site so that friends can keep up with what is going on without my having to call everyone every day. It's at caringbridge.org. It's a bit finicky but I finally got it running.
I tried to do some online Black Friday shopping but got thwarted in the attempt.
Well, I should watch this very important football game with DH!
Will chat soon.
Avon I think you meant redneck charger but yeah it looks good. ;) by the way I hope everything goes well for you guys.
Oh for heaven's sake, @avoncallingu !!! You tell that Hubby of yours that 3 of us falling around here is quite good enough! Thank heavens he didn't break anything!
I'm not near the tv...hoping his Gators are winning!!
I'm off to sleep, too, I had about a 1/2hr nap in the afternoon and now again, can't keep my eyes open. This "healing" business sure can wipe a person out.
@cabmonk ...yep. You were a weird little nugget, weren't you? SO cool that you enjoyed good food. Our Grandson always orders WHITE milk, please, and usually gets the same look from wait-staff; I guess most kids, given the opportunity chose the chocolate stuff. He orders like he's been doing it for 20 years...I suspect you sounded a lot like him, AND he loves to cook, too!! :)
Sweet dreams, everyone...

Just watched one of my favourite movies from the 80s the wraith. No it's not good lol but I still like it. It's corny and stupid but that's what makes it so good. Every street race scene you see visible crew or equipment it's that's bad. The dialogue is so bad. Lines like I'll pound him like cold whale sh*t, wtf does that even mean lol. Or who was that guy, I don't know but he was weird and pissed off. ;)
Happy Sunday everyone.Attachment 322982
Good morning folks! Just waking to a lovely sunny day. Hope you have a great "Sun"day.
Good Morning Kids,
Not doing a lot right now, listening to the TV. Trying to make some Bucks on Swagbucks. Listen to my wife switch bedrooms for our bedroom, outta one room into the other, and I can't help her, you know how much that Pisses me off, but she got it done..
Tonight looking forward to Grey Cup and the Senators game.... Go Ottawa Go!!!

Yep, @Redneck Charger, I know exactly where you're coming from....that useless feeling, huh? Not to mention cabin-fever!!! I'm proud on ya for not 'helping out'....the more you rest, the less likely you'll re-injure yourself, the faster you'll heal, the less time until you'll be able to do more for yourself.
But this really is very boring, isn't it? If it's not the pain, it's the exhaustion, or my favourite, cabin-fever, esp this time of year! Normally I'd be out almost every second day, just enjoying the stores, sales, decorations....bummer. DH said he'd make my traditional cookies and my pumpkin pie for Christmas if I supervise. Really...he doesn't need me to " supervise"...I think he's just trying to make me feel useful, hahaha....
Take good care, Charger...blessings to you!
Good luck on everything to everyone sick or hurt. My aunt goes for her radiation starting tomorrow. :flowers:
