Why do I want milk? Eh? What? Did I say I wanted milk? I'm confused. But I did have a craving for chocolate milk this morning so I bought some on the way home from work. LOL. And it was GOOD!

NOT a great idea to heat up the already hot house!
I have the kind of job where I often have downtime at the office and my boss prefers I stay at my desk and do 'whatever' than wander off and have coffee etc, I also bring a lot of work home when we have a Monday deadline given on a Friday. Requires an agreement on both of our parts but works well for us. There are a couple of employees who were banned from FB etc because they were on it even when we did have work. They get to sit at their desks and read or make paperclip chains.
I just saw a report on tv this weekend, some news segment, about how employers are really, really getting POed by younger employees who are on their phones constantly... I don't blame tham.
It's understandable if something else is done during 'down' time, but not when one should be doing something else.
One summer during my university years, I was working at a mental hospital, and for two weeks I had to cover the medical library while the person went on vacation. However, I am not medical, nor a librarian, so basically I had to just be a warm body. I was told I could do pretty much anything there - so I did some reading, and a LOT of needlework! Yes, I felt guilty... but one can only browse medical journals so long... and there was no one nearby to talk to at all. Not even patients...
Oh phones are a no no in my office, my boss threatened to throw a couple of them in the jug of water last week
