It's CASABLANCA day!!!!
So for EONS I've tried to get out DD to watch Casablanca with me...nope...I've over-hyped it, not interested...just teasing the whole YEARS I've been trying! In true Ukrainian Mother style I even told her that one day when I'm dead, she'll regret not granting me that one, wish...to watch a movie with her that I loved. (that didn't work either)
WELL!
With my b'day coming up, she really, REALLY wanted my hubby and I to join her and her hubby at our Theatre Centre to watch....get ready for it......The Rocky Horror Picture Show!!! They love it!
So........says I........IF YOU'LL watch Casablanca with me BEFORE our theatre date, then we'll do it!
DEAL DONE, signed and sealed, and tonight is the night!!!!!!!
SO excited!!
I wanted to really make this special whenever we did do this,....a moroccan dinner, etc, but in the condition I'm in, I'll take what I can get: she's preparing a charcuterie board for us, which is always scrumptious and we all get to watch it together!!!
Then some time before my birthday (she has the tickets), I'll be celebrating with a dinner anywhere I want to go, and the 4 of us will be at
the RHPS. GAH!!!!:yikes:
But to watch Casablanca with my daughter: PRICELESS!!!

Good morning all, hope everyone had an amazing weekend. The weather is FINALLY warmer, the sun is shining :) Weekend was quiet, lots of relaxing....off the get some more test results this morning at 10 from my Dr, then going to stop and grab a few veggies at the market and head home. I made an amazing veggie, gluten free lasagna last night :) I tried a new recipe, then put my spin on it, dh actually asked for seconds. Served it with a roasted garlic bread (gluten free), and a nice greek salad. Hmmmm, home everyone had their breaky, LOL

Good morning, everyone...up far too early, found out from my doc yesterday that I have a 10% reduction in my bone density, which very likely contributed to the extensive damage I did to my tibia from a 1' fall. So I'm researching about osteoporosis, he wants to put me on Actonel (R), a once a month pill...there are side-effects of course, but losing more bone mass would be worse. Still, a little bummed...

Otoh, I'll soon be a new recipient on the Canadian gov's "cash for life" program.:cheesygrin:
