Day three with no cable - hoping it gets resolved today!
I can live without, but I think my husband is getting the jitters, lol!
Ugh, I'm really not having a good day :( I got accused of something I did not do at work and I'm sick about it. Why do people have to be so nasty? :(
I do feel very good about having put up the outside Christmas lights all by myself in just 2 1/2 hours today. That is to say I have tons more lights and decor but no more patience or energy, AND I am ticked off being short-ish so the apple tree looks like it was decorated by little people....and I actually used a ladder too, just could not reach up very high.
WOB - good for you!
Well, YAY, cable is back on, so we have tv for the weekend. Gee, the tech sounded hunky over the phone, lol! Heaped mucho praise upon him, as this has been Day 3 of trying to get it back working!
Husband will be over the moon, I think two nights without tv has just about done him in!
Speaking of the sweetie, he's stayed late after work to clean out the van - and it's not for hygenic reasons (thought it probably should be!). It's his mobile work station, really, chock full o' tools and all sorts of parts. It needs a major organizational overhaul every few months - but wowsers, he's going to be one tired man when he gets home!
Wow, impressive that you did the lights yourself. I am certain I would be outside tangled up in them for hours.
Glad you got your tv back in time for the weekend. :)
Have a great day everyone. :)
Good morning!

When I was growing up, our church always had a St. Nicholas concert - us kids would sing, do dances, recite verses - and, of course, St. Nicholas would visit at the end and give us a bag with an orange and some candies.
Fast forward decades, and we were so glad that our son was able to have the same experience - both with his school, and our church.
Hope everyone has a great Saturday!
Hi everyone!!!!!!
I am blasting this song as much as possible!! lol with windows down in my car hahahaha

have a great day! :)
Good morning, everyone!
Well, today is a do-nothing-except-try-to-heal-my-back day!
Got the old "I have no clue how I hurt my back" problem... and it's no fun.
I can just pretty well walk from here to there, rather bent, so screw doing anything else. Gah!

Sounds like something I had the other day, although it was my hip. Takes a few days for it to sort itself out, meanwhile you're setting it off every time you move.
Thanks for posting that heartgirl!!! I loved it!
now, why do I read the comments below these videos!?? I was so tickled thinking these were just a group of average Dad's entertaining at a school Christmas Show or something,,,,,grrr! ( it's like finding out Santa is not real ALL over again....waaa! )
here was the comment Steve Penhollow made:
This is a commercial for Sainsbury's, a supermarket chain in the UK. These are not real dads. They're professionals. It's great, don't get me wrong. But it IS a commercial (notice the footage is supposedly from a camera phone but you get multiple angles).

Oh boy, I'd much rather hear Perry Como - all we've been seeing all day is the report on Torture in the US. It makes me sick to my stomach!
I have finally finished writing and stamping my Christmas Cards. I have some to deliver to my choir members on Thursday at choir practice.
We are hoping to fly to Denver to see dh's kids and their families on Saturday. But, dh will have a long awaited series of tests on Friday which will define whether or not he will get some surgery that he has been waiting for for almost a year. If the tests go well, we have no idea whether he'll be able to travel this weekend or not.
He was talking to his daughter about a gift suggestion we had for her husband. She e-mailed back to make an alternate suggestion. She gave us two ideas both of which we cannot afford. I puts us in a rather iffy situation. If we spend that amount on him then, I guess she is expecting an equal-valued gift and then what about the 2 kids and dh's son? I-yi-yi!
I try to purchase gifts through-out the year that I get on sale but of are good quality. This year was so screwed up that we are down to the last minute of buying things. We were thinking of gift cards but nowhere near the value of what she is suggesting. Good thing we're only going for 4 days. We usually take them all out for supper as well.
Does anyone know of anyone who needs a wedding quick??? I need a little more income!!!!
I enjoy chatting in the forum. Now it's a part of my life. Hope I can make many friends and read many different thread.
good morning Natalka ^^ The wind is picking up here and I swear it wants to SNOW!!
Well, my back is a tad better, thanks to a great massage from my husband last night.
Long way to go with it yet, though.
Figured out what it was from - silly of me to not have realized it - Saturday I did tons of work around the house, walking, bending, etc. On Sunday, it was one knee and my arms/hands which were sore, but I guess that translated into my back by Monday.
You know, it helps to know the reason!
WOB, hope the snow stays away! We are above zero, which is NUTS, but kinda neat.
