We're pretty much gearing up for another round of snow too. Although every time we look at the forecast, it changes. From 30+ cm on Tues to 5-10 cm both Mon and Tues. I feel like taking a flame thrower to clear off the driveway.

Well, we were above 0 today and the landscape is shrinking. BUT it's getting slippery along the path that I had shovelled for the dogs. When it gets cold tomorrow, I think we'd be better off tromping through the snow than trying to negotiate the ice.
I'm hoping that I can get to church tomorrow. I haven't been in a couple of weeks.
I've been asked to speak at a friend/colleague's retirement which will come up in June. I feel very honoured. I was her vice-principal when we met, and we've been friends ever since. She is an AMAZING educator! I'll have to think long and hard about this one.

I was outside in the back yard with Jenny yesterday and poked my cane into the snow on our deck, and honestly, it barely registered a foot deep!!! It's going to melt so quickly this year!!!!!
Hubby hasn't used his snowblower but once this year, and that was our first snowfall...I'm liking this!!!!

Alone once more.....:) We have our grandson today since our DD and her DH are in a curling tournament..hubby just left with him to see "Paddington Bear"...they'll have a good time for sure...Grandpa had lots of ride and video game coins! haha!

Hey, Lynn.... well, I feel 'alone', too - but that's because I sent my husband to bed, he's got a tummy bug. Got all ready to go to church this morning, then it hit him - glad it was here, and not there!
It's frigid here too, no snow yet today but it's forecasted. It's nice to look out and see white!

Hi Nat, so true...it sure is better that DH had it at home before he left for church.
All is well here, it's been snowing since last night, and it's expected to continue until tomorrow morning.
Went out to church, and just came right back home, staying off the road, and out of the snow.

Hi, Luv!! Meh...I'm back to using my walker again...a slight step backwards (not literally thank goodness!), but I'll be moseying along, trying to get my strength back in that leg...it's been 9 months...and I'm getting antsy to walk again.

I did get to church this morning but was half way there with db when I noticed I hadn't put my makeup on! OMG! Barefaced in public!
Poor MAX was sick in the night and was COMPELLED to try to "fix" it when I let him out of his cage. (For those who don't know, MAX is my DOG not my husband!) Poor Buddy! I think that all the commotion of everyone here and maybe a little scrounge of chocolate shavings might have upset his tummy.
So I have washed all his bedding and sanitized the carpet. (He sleeps in my closet.)
Everything is almost back to normal with gifts put away- chocolate nibbled on , dogs walked.... now I am chilling.
We have a "freezing drizzle" warning but we don't have to go anywhere.
I have to keep working on income tax prep stuff, but my head's a little fuzzy today. Might be a migraine fixing to visit with the weather changing.
Hope you all are enjoying the rest of the weekend! It's "Family Day" in Ontario next Monday. So long weekend coming up.

Well, Lynn, my friend, you almost lost the chance tonight - MAX took off and disappeared for 1/2 an hour but he found his way back to our front door. After I slogged through the snow up to my knees yelling "Come, MAX!" I think he was more scared than I was! He is snuggled up now on the chair with me. What a little turkey!
