It's lean ground beef, a can *2? of mixed peas and carrots, 3 doggie multivitamins, dash of garlic, and 1/2 the rice to ground beef mixture. He weighs each portion out, puts them into muffin tins and into the freezer they go, then he takes them all out and puts them into freezer bags! Sometimes we'll drizzle a little vegetable or canola oil onto it if we see her skin drying out (not olive oil!) and she loves that. He fries up the beef, prepares the rice (either brown or white), then pulses up the vitamins with the peas and carrots, mixes it all up and done! I think he makes up about 18 large 'muffins' at a time, so they last a long time for Jenny. Hope that helps a little...
And yes....although I'm looking forward to having no hardware in my leg anymore, I sure wish I could get there without the surgery!! My last anesthesiologist didn't want to put my full "out" because of my high (but controlled!) BP, so I may go the "twilight" route; my surgeon said I wouldn't know or care what the heck she was doing to my leg in that condition. Hmph. Problem with that is....like my Mom and our DD, we take a looooong time to freeze, so I have no idea what to think or do!!Just a little scared, actually.....
