Sorry hicks, one pan of Manicotti is gone already as well as nearly all of one lasagna. At least I got some have decent mumbling ( I think they were compliments? ) out of the guys. Now I wish I had opened a bottle of wine with dinner, it would have really hit the spot!

But I sure didn't tell him "Later," when he asked to go out several times today. I had tried to get him out every time, but wasn't fast enough early this morning.

We are getting our walls painted tomorrow - and I have to be up early. I'm pretty tired. So I may head to bed and finish reading my book. Almost at the end.

Well, doggie had been fine all day yesterday after the morning adventure so DH decided to put off coming to London until today after the painting. He made an appointment with his urologist/oncologist for tomorrow afternoon. They agreed that he really should get things checked. The surgeon has also been alerted so he may get to see him tomorrow as well. Doggies are safely being cared for at our dog-sitter.
I have to get the results of my sleep studies, perhaps a recommendation for a machine. My appointment is at 9:15 so that leaves lots of time to get DH to his doctors. I brought extra clothing this time and a week's worth of pills, as last time this kind of thing happened, DH had to have emergency surgery, so I am a little worried but trying not to show it.
He's in a lot of pain tonight so I hope he can get some sleep.
I am thinking it might be kidney stones or an infection at the surgical site which they say can happen months later.
Hope all of YOU are doing well!

Thinking of you tonight. Avon. You and your hubby have been through so much this past year, and longer, I hope it's nothing serious and can be corrected easily. Keeping you both in my prayers, my dear Friend.

WHAT a gorgeous summer day here today!! 26, feels like 29, hot and sunny. I had lunch with a friend at Pat&Marios, then did a little shopping, bought nothing, and had to come home because of my tummy aches because I ate OUT! Grrrr.
Eastlink TV isn't working, so here I am, with the air conditioner going full blast in the house, chatting with you guys! Jenny is, of course, sleeping on the bed in this room because while we're gone I know she doesn't do so much as eat the 'guilt treat' I leave for her. She'll eat it when I get home, then she crashes to sleep because of course, she's had her eyes and ears open for any sign, anything at ALL, that would announce my return. Poor critter...she's so needy....and I love it...:redface:

Wow, Lynn, you with the a/c on and here's us, tempted to put the furnace on! It's very chilly in the house, so I decided to make an oven meal for supper so it would warm things up!

Hello every1; wow these weather changes are brutal. On the w/end, the night temps dipped to 6 degrees, it was bloody cold !!! Today, back up to 28 - beautiful. So many people get sick when it changes like this. Keep well all. :wave:

Hi, Hicks!! :hello:It's been a while since we chatted....how are you? How's your Friend? Is he out of the hospital? It's been quiet here, went to lunch with a Friend, did a wee bit of shopping, bought nothing (which is SO not like me!), and with our Eastlink Maestro out of commission today, no TV! Except for the one in the rec room which just on normal cable, so I'm going to head there and catch a bit of the debate if it's still on. I may need a glass of wine for this one!!

Thanks Lynn. Everything's good here. I've been really busy with all my annual appts., along with my back treatments. I've had my eye exam, chest X-ray, an m.r.i., a mammogram, blood work, an e.c.g., and an appt. with the thyroid surgeon tomorrow.
My friend's home, but they figure he'll have to go back in, in a few weeks. Sees the surgeon in 2 weeks.

It really has been quiet here, but I think we're all just enjoying the last bit of summer while we can. 'Traffic' will pick up here once the weather turns I'm sure.

Hope you get your signal back soon, watching cable was great, until we got spoiled.
Me, I watched the Jays' game, I know, big surprise, and they won. :clap2:

Anyhow, time for this old gal to hit the sack. Be good & take care. :hug:

it is kind of early but good morning everyone!

that's great news that your friend is home, hicks! hope he gets good and strong for the next round.

it's another beautiful day here. going back up to a high of 29 and sunny. rain forecast for friday and saturday :(
oh well. fall rolls in next week. summer can't last forever.

Lots of fall here - husband picked up a lot of leaves yesterday, and there are so many more to go - we have a really big yard, back and front. It's kind of pretty to look out and see the yellow leaves along the walk and on the lawn...
