This week's events have showed both the goodness in mankind and the worst impulses...And still I stand looking out for the best...We will win because we will never be overcome...you can crush our bodies but the pure human spirit with it's love of goodness, beauty and truth will conquer in the end.
I weep for the loss of a child..I grieve with the famiy of a woman cut down in her prime but I rejoice in the nobleness of spirit which has laid aside the petty distinctions of race/creed/colour to help thier fellowmen in Boston,.
I honour those who work in areas where it isn't safe, soldier or civilian.I glorify those who run into danger to aid thier fellow man without worrying for their safety.
I want all children to grow up in peace and harmony..I don't want to see any more Malalas. My daughters have the freedom to be educated. I want that for all girls..for educated women are powerful in many ways
I don't want to see another Rehtaeh happening..I want my daughters to be free to do and wear what they want . Clothes don't provoke rape..Outdated ideas do..
I want my son to understand that if a person(male or female) is incapable of giving consent to sexual intercourse..then it is wrong...in the same way I don't want my daughters to bully thier beaus against thier will..
People shouldn't be marginalised because of their formal education/social status or thier looks nor thier gender, religion or sexuaity..
Yes I want a perfect and I will strive to get it...Call me a dreamer or an evil Penguin trying to force my will on you all...But our children deserve the best we can leave for them..
