just cleaned kitchen after baking bonaza.. starting now on xmas baking.

Oh my, I'm just gearing up for Thanksgiving baking!
Christmas baking gets done about a week before the actual day. lol
The X factor was okay. Some good people this season.
i know its early. but instead of giving gifts this year im making trays of cookies.. so its going to take me a few weeks/months to have the time/budget and energy to make enough different cookies to have a variety. so far i have about 6 different ones in mind. plus other ideas. if i don't start now. it'll never get done in time. plus if i can get a few extras done i have back ups as hostess gifts if were invited to dinners etc. or some to put out for guests.
im also on the look out for extraordinary cookie tins im going to repaint and use to 'wrap' the cookies with. this way i can take me time and get them right instead of running around trying to get things done last minute.
besides thanksgiving for us is no biggie.

I hear ya sheets. I stayed up until after midnight last night to watch Big Brother (damn Atlantic Time Zone!) and I am feeling it right now. I am fairly certain I didn't move once all last night - just a dead rock, lol.
LOL I was in bed early but I read for almost 2 hours and then I couldn't sleep so I read for another hour! I'd love to go back to bed but the pile of dishes is taunting me :(
All this talk about Christmas is getting me excited! I've got a few things on the go because I know I won't have time in December. The hot glue gun has been getting a lot of use lately! think I'm gonna stalk pinterest some more and make my final decisions about gifts today. For the teachers and bus drivers I'm making a peppermint hot fudge sauce and I'm trying to get some Chapmans coupons to put with the cards so they can get some ice cream to put it on lol
i also want to go back to bed!! DH and I were ready to pass out at 9:30 but we stayed up til 11 to watch the Big Brother finale and sheesh i can feel it today
Oh I'm envious of all you crafty Christmas-y people - I can make lovely popcorn garland ;)
I'm really not that crafty... I stick with things that are fairly simple lol. Mostly food haha. I can't sew or knit or crochet... but I can handle a glue gun!
