good morning!!!!

Morning, all.....got home late last night from a long meeting, but we got a lot of work done, so all's well.
Avon is in my thoughts all the time, though..her hubby is still in the hospital and is hopefully having his surgery today if all goes well...so keep those healing thoughts and prayers wafting they way, please...

Nothing on board today except to visit a friend this afternoon who had carpal tunnel surgery, and Jenny was also invited to meet their 3 dogs, 2 Yorkies and one doxie mix...fingers crossed Jenny decides that she likes other dogs today. She's more drawn to humans and simply tolerates the presence of dogs...sigh...

yes ^^ I hope the weather gets a bit milder tomorrow too, had enough of the wind already today.

well its been one of them weeks. if its not one thing its another. slowly working out the kinks.
Can't believe tomorrow is the last day of January. it wasn't the greatest month.. so i'll be happy to see what February brings.
warmer temperatures to get rid of the snow would be nice. but lots of sunshine is all im wanting ..

Well, late start to the day on here, but not in real life.
Head feels like it's going to split open, unusual for me to get such a headache; got a 'visitor' today, not impressed - c'mon, I'm 53 now - go away!

I'm declaring it to be SC Cupcake Day & an excuse for another verse,
Do you know I heard cake consumption causes calories to disperse?
Have you ever met someone who takes the cake & has a swarmy reputation
& wasn’t it Marie Antoinette who advised cake consumption to an entire nation?
We have layer cakes of chocolate, vanilla & strawberry,
Carrot Cakes & Spice Cakes, even cakes that contain a dash of sherry,
I happen to like fruitcake & I even know a few of them!
& if you bake a sour cherry cake, please remove the stem,
Gingerbread Cake & Lemon Cake are fabulous & fine,
& Spice Cake that's just spicy enough to make your life sublime,
Any kind of Cheesecake is tops & without being overly cheesy?
& I have a great recipe for Banana Cake & making it is easy!
These days cupcakes are the rage & they're made with such artistry,
Who doesn't love a cupcake when it is served with a cup of tea?
Forget the memories of McArthur Park & get into the kitchen'
Get your ingredients ready & do some fancy mixin'
The judges table is all set up for us out in the front yard,
& please don't worry about over-sampling, I've hired a security guard.
