Question for those that live in the Lower Mainland BC:
I know these things are supposed to just be in grocery stores, but are some stores better than others? I personally have better luck in Save on Foods and IGA. I almost NEVER see these at my Burnaby RCSS.
I also never see all the coupons at the same time, even close to release day. Do stores tend to stagger when they put them out, or are some just so popular that they disappear the moment they're put out? This thread is currently associated with: IGA, Real Canadian Superstore RCSS, Save on Foods, Smart SourceMy Trade List: http://forum.smartcanucks.ca/187326-...a/#post3097049

The Safeway I work at (assume the rest would be the same) has a lady come in to put all the new coupons out and removes old ones, then leaves a stack @ customer service so we know which ones are out there. Not sure about other grocery stores

I think RCSS 'refuses' to have them go out...........as they want people to use their
'Coupon Zone' coupons...........had a conversation at my local store about this once.....staff member said, "Why should we? we have our own coupons, and you're getting a good enough deal with our prices anyway."..........

I just don't understand what stores have against customers saving money!?!?! Who cares if I use a coupon!! or even get something for free!!! The manufacturer gives you the money back = you don't loose anything and move more product from your store = more business! You'd think they would love us!
Alas this is not the case. The hunt will continue ....My Trade List: http://forum.smartcanucks.ca/187326-...a/#post3097049

I would have been so tempted to snark at this employee and say, "Who are YOU to tell ME what deals are "good enough" for ME?"
I really don't like RCSS anymore. Before I started couponing, that was the only store I ever went to! Now, with this site, I have learned so much about where to go and when, and have discovered all kinds of great stores I prefer much more!
As for the original post, I find really high-traffic stores have way fewer coupons or none at all. Also, some stores put them out and have so few people take them that the pads have expired when I find them! Crazy!

I skip RCSS in terms of looking for manufacturer coupons, generally. Shoppers is my favorite, and safeway and save on have good coupons out too.

I agree, the only reason I go to any Loblaws store anymore is for the Joe clothes for my kids. The service sucks, the stores are dirty and they treat you like you are stealing when you use coupons. My new favourite store is Sobeys! They have good sales, you can collect Club Sobeys points for free groceries and there are always lots of coupons to be found

@ prairiebargainista
OMG that is sad they treat you like. I host a coupon swap and free class at the Extra Foods in Kelowna. They are super goood to me and thank me for bringin in customers to the Mall. We help the food court and the other stores including the (Lawblaw) Extra Foods.
