YAY day 1 is here!!! Trent got a box of Lucky Charms cereal from Jezebel and he thinks he has totally hit the jackpot Thank you Jez and I got 2 hair treatments (desperately needed) and the cutest Christmas note cards, Thank you Melissa. I don't know how to resize the photos so I won't attack the thread with a huge photo every day. I'll try and take one at the end of the week

Thanks slambert My son loves his advent calendar (and chocolate inside, but why can't I have more mommy?) and I love the scarf!! I'll post a pic once I've had some coffee. My boy has a bad cough so was up quite a bit last night, and I'm super tired. One hour til we can go get the rest of my shopping done at SDM! I hope my list is right.

I'm glad you like the scarf, it was my first attempt at one, I was worried..LOL We had a hard time explaining the advent calendar to Trent when he was that age too, he wanted to eat all of the chocolate on the first day I'm still like that..LOL

Opened my December 1st gift from couponsrule. Wow! Thank you so much!! I received 2 advent calendars for dbf and me, and a gorgeous silver christmas tree ornament. The ornament is exactly what I wanted!! It has a place for a photo, and it has the year too! It also has some beautiful blue jewels that will sparkle on my tree! It put a huge smile on my face!! Now I just need to find the perfect photo.

Day 1 - a big box of Orange Pekoe tea! My BF is ever thankful JulieJolie as I usually only have flavoured teas around the house! And... I've been feeling a little run down, think I'm fighting that cold, so tonight when I cozy up on the couch with a blankie, I'm making myself a blueberry tea! (Hot regular tea, grand marnier & amaretto) Might help me sleep since I've been tossing and turning since 507am this morning!

Just got back from SDM and whew! That was a lot of work. My before tax total was $216 and I think I got everyone's gifts, but they didn't have some of the things I wanted so I had to improvise, and added a couple things to the cart for the boy lol. The cashier was good, I wasn't sure I had put the right amount in the cart so she said she could suspend the transaction if it wasn't there.

I'm excited to see what everyone is getting from their buddies, almost as exciting as opening my own presents! Also anxioius to see if the gifts I sent are well received lol.

thank you wendyjane for the spiderman advent calendar for devin. when i brought it out a few minutes ago this is what he said to me "WHAT!!!!!!!! it is not dec 1 already is it?" He has done really well at waiting to dig into the gifts that were labelled for him. guess that is what happens when they are out of sight out of mind.....LOL. can't wait for tomorrow!!!!

Denise! Thank you so much! The bath salts smell wonderful! Ivenever had homemade ones before but I may just have to give it a shot after smelling these! Now, to figure out how to convince daddy that mommy needs some bath time!!!

The 'baby's first Christmas' ornament is gorgeous and very timely! We were out yesterday and as you know, this year it's the 'fun' year for decorations. I of course have all blue and silver and white decorations (think icy theme) so we're starting from scratch. I've managed to decifer that when don says 'fun', he means individually selected (and expensive) ornaments. You know, like you get one or two new ones a year and eventually you have a tree full of ornaments with memories and meaning. It took me about 3 store of him saying 'I guess they don't make things like they used to' before I figured it out. He has no interest in any of the sets of balls etc that we could use on the tree (and afford!) and he doesn't want to buy a tree's fu ll of individual ornaments...so ummmm...yah. Now, with this new ornament from our buddy, our tree will have exactly 4 ornaments. 'Baby's first Christmas', a little clay ornament kit I got at hallmark to press her footprint into, a 2012 ornament (like the one k8 received today) and the ornament I picked up yesterday that's the grinch & says 'baby's first grinchmas' (muhahaha). We also managed to pick up a few hideous stockings and a new tree skirt (they're actually cute, but I will NEVER admit that to him!). Can't wait to move in next week and set it all up!

PS - My little bunny has finally bored of her bouncy seat with the sparkly ornament hanging from it after about 20 mins! It's a multipurpose gift!

PPS - if anyone comes across a set of ornaments ready made with a decade of memories please let me know. I'd love to get one for don since cdn tire, Walmart and winners all seem to have failed him on selling such a 'set'
