So I decided to try making some of those candy cane sleighs that Mrs. Sunshine posted..... Crafty projects should be left to crafty people! They are not terrible but not as I in visioned them...... And I only glue gunned my finger once! Photos to follow. I still might have to send one to you new buddy.

New buddy, the homemade items will most likely all be of the edible variety due to my lackey of craftyness.

i kinda cheated. I opened Dec 1 already. We received some gift sticky tags, 2 Dairy milk bars (one of which is the peanut butter and pretzel which ive been wanting to try), container of choc. suckers (I know you said we could have these early, Jez, but I made the kids wait! lol ) and a coupon holder with some pretty awesome coupons Thanks Kuponklepto!

It's 2am in BC. Just did one Sdm redemption and ended up getting some great deals!! Well worth it. Have enough for more redemptions but will save it for now.

And....now time to open my first gift. Today is a good day!!!

Thanks slambert My son loves his advent calendar (and chocolate inside, but why can't I have more mommy?) and I love the scarf!! I'll post a pic once I've had some coffee. My boy has a bad cough so was up quite a bit last night, and I'm super tired. One hour til we can go get the rest of my shopping done at SDM! I hope my list is right.

I am also sick. i have been feeling like i have been getting a cold for the last 3 weeks but never really get it but it also doesnt seem to go away, until yesterday and now i am sick. not terrible but not great either -- dont worry new buddy i am going to hold off on making edible items until i am better! DD also seems to be a little sick *sigh*

going to open my day 1 gifts shortly. we have a fairly busy weekend ahead.

today - DD's gymnastics. we were going to go to the etobicoke lakeshore santa claus parade this morning, but now that i sick the last thing i want to do is stand outside in the cold, so i think its a pass. put up the christmas tree with the help of a toddler so that will take a few hours. then we got hubby work christmas party tonight - cold medicine hear i come!

sunday - lunch at my parents then out to oshawa to and christmas party at my Nana's retirement home.
