Yep - my first. The 'activity' this evening though is making me want to get this show on the road!!! Let's ROLL!!!

Question for my buddy - are you sensitive to any yarns/wools? Does wool or mohair bug you?

Here are the answers I'm owing my buddy:
    1. What color is your kitchen? Is ‘nasty’ a colour? Our kitchen is really tight in this condo (can’t wait to move next year!) so I can’t really fit much into it (decoratively that is). Dishes are all white/glass/silver in colour (think Pottery Barn ‘Great White’)
    2. What color is your bathroom? Master bath is kinda a beige/neutral (like beige coloured fake marble counter top), stainless and clear acrylic accessories
Second bathroom has navy towels, white counter top, white shower curtain, stainless accessories (soap pump etc).

    3. Do you have a theme in these rooms? Negative
    4. Do you like wall decals? If so, what are you looking for? No thanks
    5. How would you describe the style of you home? Is ‘shoebox’ a style? Haha - dark wood, stainless/white accessories (think IKEA espresso colour, tan sectional couch, straight lines and kinda contemporary). Master bedroom is white and light blue with satin nickel and black pic frames/accents. LB’s room is aquaish with dark espresso coloured furniture.
    6. What type of homemade items do you like? Knit dish cloths would be great (I make them myself but haven’t had time to make any for myself and our families always steal them when I do make them!), as another rider said though, “functional” is important for me. Not enough room in our shoebox for anything else!
    7. Would you accept homemade chocolates or candy? I feel bad saying it, but no. I’m a germaphobe. Sorry!
    8. Hey buddy what is your favourite body shop scent: (adore Body Shop) Satsuma or Mango are my favourite scents. I have about 6 years supply of body butter though
    9. Do you drink alcohol? Yes, especially vodka (I blame my Polish roots!) but I’ve got enough to last at least a year (that’s what happens when you have a birthday party early in the year where nobody knows you’re pregnant!)
    10. Ever shop at Canadian tire? Yeppers – DH said that if they sold food he’d have no reason to shop anywhere else!
    11. If you were down to your last $20 bucks- what would you spend it on for yourself? Mmmm….a pedicure or a good book
    12. Do you have a camera (to take pics of gifts received?): Yes
    13. Most wished for item from wish list: Coloured markers/pens for scrapbooking, Body Shop Foot pumice (the blue one), or Advent Calendar
    14. Photo albums or photo frames: No thanks – I’ve got lots of them to fill as it is
    15. Return address labels – would love some that say “Pam D” so that I can use them for trading and my personal mail.
    16. Jeff Dunham - negative
    17. Buddy do you have a Scentsy machine – nope, I’m good with my jar candles
    18. Jarred salsa/apple sauce – no thanks

ok so since there are clearly some canners her i need some help. I plan on making pickled beets this weekend for the first time and i'm tryint o figure a couple things out

    A. What the hell is pickling salt?
and B where would one get this rack thing that seems to be required for the canning part of the process? and is there another way that doesn't involve me having to go out and buy new equipment to make some beets?

FYI I'm still fairly new new at this whole being domestic thing haha i went from living right downtown and working all the time to moving to the burbs and becoming a stay at home mom (for a little while at least) so there have been a lot of new skills and firsts for me over the past year of 2....combined with a fair amount of profanity (when the kids are sleeping) since i really have no idea what the hell i'm doing and the internet instructions aren't always ideal....so for those of you who actually have some skills in this type of thing....help me!

I know I'm forgetting some, but will get lost if I try and page back again!

Most wished for item? I draw a blank on this, anything on my list or that I've posted here would be great! Ooh, can I add a big fluffy bath sheet? I saw this on someone's post, and I'd love one of those giant towels too! Any shade of dark brown or taupe type colour is awesome!

Photo albums or frames? No to albums, have many that are empty! Frames yes, but I'm somewhat picky as I like unusual, antiquish or upcycled stuff. If it's unique, for sure!

Personalized labels? I have some already, went on a printing spree.. he he.

Jeff Dunham? Love him!!! on a steek... lol.

Scentsy? Dont' have one, prefer my votives or Ikea jars.. I'm soo cheap!

Jams/Marmalades/Pickles, etc? We don't eat much jam, and I have a years worth of pickles and salsa in the basement. But something like a relish, caramel sauce or pickled beans would be great!

Edit.. forgot to answer about the wool.. anything soft or fluffy, yes. Just not the scratchy type wool, it makes me itch..

    Camera? Yes, I do!

pickling salt is coarse salt you can usually find it with the other salt Walmart has it a canning rack is the metal insert that goes inside the canning pot it raises and lowers the jars into the hot water
