Saw the flyer... disappointed in the redemption level....I know it is still $210 which is better than a kick in the a@@ however I worked hard to get my points this year and it took a lot of planning and shopping when it was inconvenient etc....I also bought things based on what the points were valued at for mega($250)redemption.
DH commented with all the American chains moving into Canada, Canadian stores should be looking to sweeten their deals not slash them...

My two cents..or really 1.4 cents hahaah!

My Christmas shopping is done(and wrapped) except for a few things I will pick up at redemption! I am a planner and don't like to be rushed/stressed! I like to spend December visiting/eating/drinking/partying/looking at lights etc...I like to have all my decorating/baking/wrapping done early!
Next sat My DD,Jezze and I are in a craft/bakesale! Should kick off the season right!
Have a great Day!!!

I have 1 and half gifts to go then I am done! the 1 is for my Nana, I have been holding off getting her a gift because I thought I might get her a scarf or something from the one of a kind show - which I am going to on Wednesday, super excited! the the half is for my sister because I am still waiting to her what she wants. I already got her Mac present! When we were kids we came up with nicknames for each other, I am Joe and she Mac. Every year we buy each other a under $10 Mac & Joe gift! I got her a Keep Calm and Carry On Beer!

Dont worry Im in that boat with you too Missbee! Not even close to being ready! So much to do. Shopping, baking, cleaning, wrapping, it never ends! Hoping that doing this redemption next weekend I should be almost done though! The kids arent getting nearly as much as they normally do this Christmas but we just cant afford it this year. Hopefully next Christmas will be alot better for us. Im just glad I took part in thsi train this year, its was at least 1 thing to do for me!

I saw a mon chichi baby so am going to pick that up for myself
and then I saw other things my buddy had on their list which I couldn't find when I was shopping
I know my mom won't see this so ...I still need to buy her a camera...I bought mine for $169 (on sale from $249) am hoping it goes on sale during a points event
I also bought her a brief case on wheels that is open inside as some of her files are to fat for a brief case with slots (she is a lawyer) so waiting for it to come in the mail. also bought her a new coffee maker during Black friday sales !! (my brother burnt hers..sat it beside the element while it was on
plus I will let her do one of my redemptions and then wrap the items for her ! While the gifts seem plentiful some are for her birthday as it is in Dec also..so I need to figure out what gift is for what LOL plus I buy for my brother and he just pays/picks out which gift he wants to give her
my brother I am done....need to pick up the new assasins creed for xbox 360 for my sissy and then I am done......klepto...still need to shop.....friends aren't done...but extended family is done
So besides some stocking stuffers which I will get at redemption I am 3/4's done
!!!

you guys are way to organized... I don't think I have one gift yet.
I got that Clearasil Face Wash system that looks like the Lysol dispenser for $5
(was $10, I had a $5 coupon) at Sobeys the other day for my DD and the refills were on for $5 so I got two of them. The same thing is at Wal Mart for 19.xx and the refills were 7.xx and at Shoppers it is much more. So I was tickled on that one.
We are still going to make a weekend of redemption weekend next week so I am looking forward to that. I ordered my payroll savings money on Friday and Hubby ordered his too so we will be hitting the stores in the city hard and hopefully get 'er done. Having 2 teenage girls doesn't make it hard to shop at SDM and spend those points lol.... plan on getting a years supply of:
Clean and Clear Wipes
Low Dose Aspirin
Cotton Pads
Q Tips
Quo nail polish remover
Quo eye make up wipes
Liquid Hand Soap
Tampax and Pads
Tooth brushes
Tilex
And lots of:
K Cups
Cold FX
Make up sponges
bobby pins
hair elastics
mouth wash
burts bees
TP
Paper towel
Kleenex
Tums
Batteries
Hair Dye
AND...
Stocking stuffers and gifts packs for family.

we've decided to hold off on redeeming for now.
been SO freakin busy this weekend.. finally have more than 3/4 of my bazaar items done.
30 kids 'stocking stuffers' made from toilet paper rolls wrapped in candy like wrapping and then wrapped in plastic..
--20 candy sleighs
--little mini cupcakes topped with a red 'dollop' of icing that looks like a hat, then decorated with popcorn to create a santa fur affect.
--green swirl icing decorated cupcakes shaped into a wreath
--one cake tree decorated with white icing , mint flakes and red licorice for garland.
--6 mini cakes decorated with frosting and mint flakes
--25 'hot chocolate' tasting spoons
-- 6 'cupcake' ornaments
--8 coffee 'candles' (coffee beans and a vanilla tea light in a white dish)
1 candy jar for guessing
--1 candy jar
--60 marshmallows turned into reindeer (covered in chocolate topped with a mini colored mini for a nose and mini marshmallows cut in half and used for eyes with pretzels for antlers.
PLUS 15 raffle baskets i made myself including 3 (so far) ornament bulb wreaths and one green garland wreath adorned with old fashioned wood toys.
*sigh* im probably missing something but oh well.. did ALL this for under $25! about a months worth of work but will be so much fun next weekend. can't wait to see how well it goes.Be Strong
