i got an amazing cookbook...which i was checking out right away...sorry cant find the pic i took
day 13 DD got littlest pet shop coloring book
i got christmas cupcake mix...awesome will be making these on monday or tuesday (days off)

day 14 DD got pebble and the penguin dvd
i got wilton sprinkles..good timing, needed more

Day 15 DD got care bears coloring book or as she calls them ...bunnies lol
i got some much needed spitz!

Checking on the site a bit further and ooooo....they have a retail store in Mississauga!! Will definitely need to take trip there in the near future!

lucky for me, there are a lot of British people in my neighbourhood so our local bulk barn carries a lot of British products! But I noticing some of my favourites on here that they don't carry:

Stopping by to check in... I had the brainwave I'd try pressure canning some beans today, and testing out a recipe for Bacon Jam... Waiting, waiting, and still waiting for the bacon jam to reduce...

I must say the house smells pretty darn good, all hickory smokey mapley sweet...

Hopefully by the time it's done it makes it to the jars... but I can't guarantee it!

So I would like to share with all of you something, some times when I am overwhelmed by my illness and become scared and sad I play a little game to calm my mind. I try to find a simple thing that make life beautiful. Today well in a bit of a mood I was vacuuming my living room my husband came to the door and smiled at me suddenly I looked up and because our curtain were drawn only a sliver of sunlight came through and reflected of a ornament on my tree and I realized the effect had cast little dots of light all over my ceiling and walls. So in all the sadness here is my simple thing to share with you.

thats cool! an awesome affect.. we had a mirrored ball that was on a chair in the dining room. every night it 'sparkled' all over the ceilings and walls when we had the lights on. thanks for sharing.

today brought me a purse sized calendar for not just 2013 but 2014 as well!!!! AND a purse calculator perfecto as the kids broke 2 of my calculators this year thank you so much!

Armygirl I love that! We always tried to do that too, find little pieces of beautiful wherever we could. We sat down each week and shared what good things had come to us that week that we wouldn't have had if this wasn't our situation. The best one was Buddy the clown...he's the most amazing child psychologist who dresses as a clown. Trent is still quite good friends with him and he has had quite an impact. Always find the silver lining

For day 12 my lovely buddy gave me some amazing spices! Ohmygossh I have already used one yum! She also included reciped, Thanks!

Day 13, Clorox wipes and mr clean magic erasers (just in time for weekend cleaning)

Day 14 was two pairs of awesome funky fake lashes.

and finally day 15 was Olay make up removing wipes, two pretty lip glosses eye liner and animal print tissues

day 15 brought us some pretty christmas napkins. can't believe how excited devin gets whenever we get napkins. he loves taking them in his lunch bag to school. thanks so much wendy
