Zellers at the oshawa centre wouldn't let me use my 4.99 swiffer coupon for the duster starter kit because it didn't match the picture.

.........and probably because i would be getting it free.

Hopefully you can get them somewhere else. I got some at Walmart yesterday and Canadian Tire also has them for $4.99.

A lot of cashiers and even managers don't quite see the picture. First, the store is getting paid through the coupon, so they are turning away business for no reason, other than ignorance. Second, the manufacturer WANTS you to get it for free. Why wouldn't they want hundreds of people getting the starter kit (that would not buy it if they didnt have a coupon). They will be making lots of money off of the refills.

I got mine at Walmart, they were $4.87 and she adjusted the coupon from $4.99 to the selling price. I only paid tax. Superstore wouldn't take my coupons and I couldn't find them at Canadian Tire. I think I might go back to Walmart for some more.

When I attempted at Walmart the cashier went "Oh not this again" didn't even explain anything but just called over the supervisor who would not accept the coupon. I tried Canadian Tire and they only had 1 and they accepted the coupon.

Miss April, if they accuse you of stealing, tell them to call the police and you will wait. That will scare them.
If they take you up on it, and the police come and see that it is a frivalous charge, tell the police you would like to make a charge against the store manager/or accuser.
Then, send a registered copy to Zellers head office.
You will also have ammo to go to the press.
They will never do that to you again - I guarantee it!

Hey JordanBrown, my Food Basics cashier was about to say the same thing.
I have started to circle the wording on my coupons before I go to the cash. I pointed out to her that the words are important and not the picture.
She had to agree, that I met the terms of the coupon.
Wonder, if you wrote to Swiffer to tell them what happened to you, if they would send you more coupons?
Just a thought.

have you guys been using the 4.99 coupons from the tear pads? or have you used the ones that were in the RCSS flyer?
I have a feeling you can only use the flyer coupons at RCSS?

The flyer coupons do not have a mail in address........they appear to be meant to be used at RCSS only. Most will not accept a coupon without a valid "Canadian" mail in address.
