put glow sticks in a balloon and put them all over your yard......summer party!!!

Supplies: table salt, food coloring and a tupperware container to mix in. A little silver dust used in decorating cakes adds some shimmer

Pour some salt into the tubberware. As much or little as you want, depending upon how much glitter you want to make. Add a few drops of one color. Place the top on and shake shake shake until the color is well incorporated. Now add a sprinkle of the silver dust and shake shake shake again until it’s well incorporated as well.

Do the same with the other colors. You can experiment mixing colors to create different shades as well

Carefully pour them onto a baking dish and bake in the oven for about 10 minutes on 375. You’re just drying out the bit of liquid from the food coloring.

make your own stamps, love this idea

What you need:




Bottle tops. The tops from the flavored water and orange juice bottles were just the right size.

Foam shape stickers. Check your local dollar store for these stickers. I found many of these stickers at our local Dollar Tree. Letter and number shapes would be perfect for teaching letters, spelling, numbers and math.








Stick the foam stickers to the bottle tops to create your stamps:

Ink pad or paint. If you use paint, be sure to cover your surface with newspaper.

Fun project to do with kids. Take photos, cut them out and glue onto white paper. Then photo copy onto transparency paper, cut out image and roll it up so that it can fit into the top of a soap bottle. Fill with clear soap

Kids loooove stringing beads on to pipe cleaners. I like the idea of adding the numbers into the activity.

If you use the same bottle types you can then have an interchangeable stamper by screwing the tops back on the bottle, this would be good for little hands that need something larger to hold on to in order to stamp. Great idea.
