Calgary Coupon Hunters *HEADS UP*

Hi All!

I was just wondering if anyone has any ideas on how to get their hands on more than one copy of the P&G Brandsaver coupons that came out with the paper on Saturday?

Is there anywhere in Calgary that has recycling depots where a person can walk in and request a few copies, or go through the old papers and grab a couple?

Any advice would be most appreciated!

Thanks for letting me know! I will have to do separate transactions now

The self-check system allow u to put in up to $10 worth of cpns, once it hit the ten dollar mark, if u still try to input more cpns, it will automatically go into "waiting" mode to wait for supervisor override.

If u don't mind, you can separate them into 2 transactions to avoid going over the ten dollar mark.

Now don't panic, I don't want this turns into one of those every 3-month rumor that "LD has stopped stacking !" and everyone rushed to the store and clear the shelf thing.

Nor is this one of those annoying cashiers trying to say something bitter to discourage us stackers. She is just kind and polite enough to give me time to change my shopping habit, review my cpns stash again and give me heads up so in a few weeks when I come in, loaded the shopping cart with stuffs and then find out they changed the policy. And I appreciate that.

In my personal opinion, I don't think LD has change policy corporate wide, my guess is maybe this location has great reputation and everyone comes to this location to stack and they end up with unusually large amount of cpns and getting pressure or questioned from the vendors. So they have to review their policy, one way to slow this down is to implement a tighter stacking policy. Other LDs could be business as usual. Or maybe later on, they will lossen this up a bit again.

Oh crap...I had been telling myself not to go over board and just stock pile on what I absolutely need, but I better change that now! Need to turn the basement into a storage! DH won't be happy. He can't even enter the utility room as I have all my bags there, to sort one of these days! I don't want to pay more than taxes EVER again

Someone here (Kittyboots maybe?) mentioned at one point that she went to the Calgary Herald and requested the inserts.

I'm sure once some of our online coupons start coming in we'll be having another swap. I know that all of my diaper coupons will be up for grabs!

I don't know what other locations get or is 60 stackers/month is a lot. But if LD official policy didn't change and this particular location sat down from management to customer service staffs to review and implement or reinforce the stacking policy, there must be something (negative?) happening in this location. Could be other customers complaining the shelves were cleared out a lot or something else.

I went into the RO LD to do stacking a few weeks ago and had the worst experience there ever she was absoutely terrible. It was an older lady she counted the amount wrong was telling me there changing there rules because people are abusive etc, and then to top it off she said you know this is our busiest time you shouldnt come at this time. There was two people behind me that came while she was going on a rant. I am very precise with my stack never abuse the system and have always followed the guidelines. I was completely offended and wont return there again. I am also very organized she started saying those there each are 1 dollar I dont care that there different your only useing those 4 in total for your whole trip. And she told me she was a stacker but was wrong in ever aspect. It was the most terrible experience I have and will never return. I spoke with a girl I do alot of stacking with and she was completely stunned she told me I shouldnt be there at that time.
I love london drugs and just go where everyone is super nice, my other royal oak experiences where totally awesome but that lady was just something else. I am probably the nicest person to I have no mean bones in my body!

Newbie, don't be disheartened. Some of us have had horrible experiences at RO every now and than. Most of the staff is great, and is very helpful. Take a deep breath, open a pop (or if you drink something stronger, go for it), look at all the wonderful stash you have and forget this experience. Try to go when you can avoid this specific person. Weekday morning staff is usually good. I have learned to avoid weekends and 5-7pm rush. Cheer up

Oh my I don't know what to do anymore. I am worried of stacking right now because I don't know what I can stack and where and I certainly don't want to be scolded. I've been meaning to go get some aveeno this week but I think I just might bypass it with all of this.

I went one time in the morning and had a bad experience, I also went at around 7 and had a few bad experiences. I wouldnt say there is really a good time since i think its shift work. Just know the rules and try and not break them, I think this is a big problem in BC I definetly see alot of people bragging about pulling something over the cashiers eyes and that bugs me. Why wreck a good thing to get a few free bags of diapers or tide. I am very happy to be getting things 75% savings and up.

I couldn't clear the shelves even if I wanted to! I'm not that great a couponer just do a bit with the time I have. Planning on 4 in total (2 shampoos and conditioners or shampoo/conditioner and 2 bodywashes). Hopefully that's not too much?

I asked for the official coupon policy about two weeks ago through email and it looks the same as the one I saw almost 2 years ago. Unless they just changed like last week that I am not aware of. I mean the price match one item only was always there but RO LD has always let us price match more quantity.

It was the "cannot combined with any other offer or cpns" shocked me. Becoz that would pretty much take the "stacking" completely out of equation. I don't know other location but my LD, RO, is implementing this policy within a month. They are giving us stackers a month's time to adjust.
