I had a bad experience with my VIP beauty event. I bought 2 tickets of $10 each. Said I would get 2 goodie bags with full size products inside, get bonus points on certain products, I could get free makeup application, free mini manicure. So I signed up me and DD for manicure.

What a big disappointment. The manicure was done by a cashier, not professional. It just so happened to be 20x day. My bonus points was 20x, and no additional bonus points on cosmetics and the 2 x $10 had to be used on cosmetics. So every shopper not in the Beauty Event could do a regular 20x but I had to spend $20 on over priced cosmetics. I was so pissed. Went looking around the store trying to find $30 in groceries so I don't lose out.

And the goodie bag was so light that it was flapping around in the wind when we were waiting for the bus. The little spray perfume sample were half full. A sample of a sample.

What SDM did you got too!!! I went to St Clair st at 5pm on April 06 & had my makeup done by Stefano ...tried out new Lise Watier eyeshadow & skin care products!!
Great deal for $10 & got $5 cpn to use for this weekend , lol & also gave me a baggie with samples & a full size Maybelline mascara (vibrating one, lol) & also since I put Lise Watier skincare on hold for redemption they gave me the last GWP (gift with purchase) that had a LW eyeshadow brush, green jumbo eyeshadow pencil & a eyeshadow compact with 4 shadows!! She said its worth $100.00 OMG!!! I was stunned!!! They are sooooo good to me at SDM!!!
Had a ball!!!

I went to the one on Queen Street, its closest to me.
However, I was disappointed in the goodie bag they gave to those who bought tickets for this one. It only had Pantene shampoo, travel hairspray and a single packet face mask.
I think I will go to one of the other stores next time, as they are bigger than the Queen street location and tend to put on better events.
But I had fun

wtg! awesome brag and win i should see if my sdm is holding a gala. haven't been to a sdm one but have been to one at the bay. didn't win anything and there was no food (smoothie sample and a cookie) but the gift bag was great. it had 6-7 vial perfume samples plus a body lotion in a gift box.
