If I can make a suggestion, I organized and created Vancouver's Coupon Group just over one year ago. It has been going on strong since then. We set our meetings biweekly and rotated them to different malls for the first few months which gave everyone who could a chance to attend. Then the meetings were stabilized to the best location midpoint for everyone to reach by Bus, Skytrain or car. We also organized it differently than what I see that you are proposing and may I recommend that which has worked best that I have seen. Our members bring only the coupons they don't want or will not use to the meetings. However they have them organized. Some use binders, some use envelopes, others use dividing portfolios. Then when everyone has met each other and we all have our coffee/teas, we begin to pass it all around. This leaves the choices more varied, it makes for a free for all and it's more fun and exciting than trying to put together someone's wishlist. I hope these tips help and congratulations on your first upcoming meeting.

Thanks for the ideas. We have met many times over the past year and your idea of passing "our extras" around is exactly what we do along with the envies. Great to hear it works that way in other cities too! As for location..the only reason we had always met at St. vital Mall was LD. I would be happy to meet anywhere...any suggestions???? Perhaps if this date and time doesn't work, someone can post up another????? The more meets the better..you're right!

for sure, downtown doesn't have LD, but it has shoppers, giant tiger and bargain shop. any weekend works for me. I look forward to doing some trading as I have plenty of coupons I won't use, like diapers and dog food.

We've been doing these things for about 2 years or so. I like the idea of setting regular dates because then it's easier to get together. We used to meet fairly steadily before the end of each month to trade our extra coupons that were expiring that month. It's a great opportunity to meet other couponers and feel "normal" about couponing.
I think if we rotate, it won't take long to do all the malls as Winnipeg is much smaller than Vancouver, which is not necessarily a bad thing!

    Thanks for the tips!

Sunday April 17th...11 am in the food court by Tim's in St. Vital Mall
was the original date and place.
Unless someone actually suggests an alternative place and time, I say we go with it, if there are enough people.

    My wishlist
    $2 Nivea
    $3 Physicians Formula
    Hamburger Helper
    and
Campbell Soup labels (for the schools).

Still on for the 17th at St Vital Food Court by Timmies. We can plan our next meet and location at another time, in another post to avoid confusion.... see you all on the 17th!

Try emailing or phoning the company to get different Pampers coupons.

I have some baby formula from save.ca. Can you use those?
