Wow, I'm amazed at how much feedback I'm getting here! Ummm but one question...why is it bad to trade for points???? I just traded for 10, 000...The person sent me 5, 000 right away and then the other 5K she'll send when she gets my envie. There's also a couple of auctions going on....

Because the site is not secure, all it takes is your card number and your postal code (for example) - if you trade with someone for SDM points AND they also have your postal code for a snail mail trade at any point in time, you open yourself up to losing your points through theft, or SDM taking them away due to too many transfers (as they are aware that people were trading points before, and it's against the terms)

If you do decide to trade for points, Always use a secondary card for transfers to people you don't know personally! Never give out your main card Number. Once you receive the points, you can then transfer them to you main card. All someone needs is your card number and postal code to log in to your optimum account. Last year many people were robbed of their points just before mega redemption
I have a separate card I use to send transfers and I only transfer exactly what i plan to send onto it so there is never a balance left.

Something you might want to keep in mind: is it worth it?
If you're spending at least $150 just to get enough points to make it to the 95000 level, you want to be buying things you'll actually use - and not just things that will get you points. Otherwise, why not just use the $150 to buy what you want?

you would only be getting base points = 3000 points on that purchase... if 20x then yes, but 20x is saturday only, and the wii u is released sunday.
Perhaps many people are trying to rack up points so they can redeem for a wii u. That will be extremely difficult considering there won't be any stock on mega redemption day. If they had stock the day before, they would sell in a flash... no one will leave it on the shelf and hope they will still be there on a redemption day. My plan is to get one in a few months when stock isn't a problem... then i'll just redeem 170$ for it. pay the rest with the gift cards I got this week.

Nope, I never spend $ just so that I can get points. That's why I will not be buying the Biotherm cream, or the Wii. I have no use for those things. It took me a year to get 50 000 points lol. The only way I can maybe work it out is if I do an auction (with the changed info on my card). The pressure is on! :p
