I'm wondering if any SCer would know of a way to turn off the continuous broadcast of universal time on my computer's speakers. It is driving me insane! It consists of beeps, short dial-tone like blips, and then every minute a male voice states the universal time. I have searched the control panel, active applications, and even asked google, all to no avail.
AAAHHH!! I have no idea why it does this. Any help would be appreciated. Time is now 20 hours 48 minutes. lolThis thread is currently associated with: N/A

Heh, sounds like you're picking a RF interference (radio broadcasting). Do you have Logitech speakers by any chance? lol
You may need better quality speakers.

Nope, Logitech speakers (and other lower-end models) are known to pick up radio signals quite often. My SO has his license and we have radio equipment galore, so I can say this with certainty lol

That's just the software on the computer that can be used to run the radio, just wanted to find him the example of the station (there is a cat standing in front of me as I type this... I can't see a thing! lol)

KrazE - yes, that is pretty much it. OMG so annoying
The weird thing is I have had the speakers maybe 8 years, lived in the same house for 6, and never heard it before about a week ago . . .
So naturally I wondered if someone was trying to screw with my head
Though the computer is in a different room now than before when it didn't do it . . . perhaps I'll have to try moving it back!

So, back in the original room, the speakers no longer play the universal time. Thankfully.
Thanks for your suggestions and enjoy the rest of your weekend!
