SDM: $2.74 OOP for $75 worth of stuff!

Headed to SDM today to get more Cover Girl and go for the Esso GC. I wasn't going to but once I realized I needed some refreshment items and could find Physician's Formula with MIR sticker I figured "why not?!" and it was a nice sunny day so the drive and fresh air was great.

Here's what I got:

10 x Peak Freen Cookies @ 1.99 ea
2x Coffee Whitener @ 2.99 ea
1x Half and half cream @ @ 2.99
4x LB juice @ 4/$5
1x PF eyeliner @ 12.99 (Free with MIR)
2x CG lipstick/lipliner @ 10.99 ea
1x CG Eyeshadoe @ $6.49 ea
2x Evian water @ $1.99ea (earned 850 bonus points for buying 2)
1x tic tacs @ 1.19

also used $5 in coupons

Total bill $81.04 including tax ($75.50 before tax!)

LESS reimbursement for refreshment items: $33.87
LESS MIR: $14.68
New Total OOP: $32.74

SDM points earned: 15,360!

YAY! Got the $20 GC for Esso - great timing with ridiculous gas price today - and the points earned today put me over the 22,000 mark so I've got a $30 redemption in my future!!!!

I just cashed out $100 in points last Sunday so to rack up another $30 so quick is pure joy. I've been using my points to help out with the grocery bill and get stuff for DD and the house, but this $30...that's ALL MINE!!!!!!!

And if I apply that extra $30 to my OOP today...I really only spent $2.74 for $75 worth of stuff! Don't you just love that?!

question: if i buy 75.00 worth of stuff and had i 5.00 coupon= 65.00, will i get the extra points??? or does the total has to be 75.00 AFTER coupon????

thanks poshcouponer! To answer your question, it depends on what you're getting. This week had two promos:

1) Spend $25 or more on Cover Girl products and get 50x points
2) Spends $75 or more on almost anything in the store and get $20 Esso GC

Bear with me, could be confusing:

- If you bought $75 worth of CG make-up and used coupons, you'd get 50x points on the full $75

- If you bought $75 worth of stuff in general and your after coupon $OOP is $75 or more the cashier will give you the $20 Esso card

- If you buy a mix of CG make-up and other stuff totalling $75 then you'd could potentially get both 50x points on the total value of all CG items, and you could get the $20 Esso card. since the cashier has to physically give you the card they usually insist on total being $75 AFTER coupons.
