Startled, Paul's hands scramble, grasping at the barren ground around, and stumbles to his feet.

[operabob]

Just then the soft and mellifluous voice of Henrietta Heartacre whispered,"Quick Paul and strange old foreign person, this way before it's too late."

She guided them to a house covered in pictures of zombies and those weird enemies from the first zelda game.

[operabob]

It was a dark and stormy night as Henrietta threw another Presto log on the funereal fire while a moribund Paul, bothered by his hernia recently aggravated by his near death exprience in the maw of that gaping hole ruminated that the dark stranger looked suspiciously like Henry Lytton Bulwer and asked if he would like a cup of tea.

"No thank you."

[danger_dan]

The situation definitely called for much stiffer of a drink.
"I'll have any kind of liquor you've got, neat." Paul uttered

He was poured a cup of chivas regal which he drank greedily only to gasp for air. It was poisoned!

"I said 'neat'," he gasped.

Lunging at Henrietta, Paul grasped her throat, shook her violently and demanded an antidote.

With eyes bulged in fear, she slowly raised her hand and pointed to the almost empty vial sitting on the shelf.

Paul viewed it hopefully and, pushing Henrietta aside, he lunged for the vial.

[gryphon]

Sadly the vial was also full of poison.

[danger_dan]

Enraged, Paul kicked through the front door and bolted into the night.

[jpnorton]

Henrietta smirked an evil smile as she glanced down at the vial she'd just removed from her pocket, which contained the true antidote.

[danger_dan]

Unfortunately for her, she hadn't expected Paul to come barreling back through the kicked out door, stopping mid stride as he eyed the vial.
