I can't profess to understand God's plan. Christ promised the resurrection of the dead. I just thought he had something a little different in mind.

BreatheRight strips don't work for him. I personally think he needs to go to a sleep clinic. People who snore like he does often have sleep aepnea. That's the real fun part...the snoring is interrupted by periods of silence where I wait for him to finally draw the next breath. Getting a man to go the doctor is another story.....

Oo yea i know a friend with that. They have to wear this mask thing to help them breathe properly or something. If he doesnt want to go to the doctors, hold an intervention or hold him hostage

Tell him you're going for ice cream and then put the child lock on when he realises where he is going

lol ... after years of dw having to put up with my snoring (cpap now) she`s just started snoring. I keep an ear out tho,,, wouldn`t wish sleep apnea on anyone.

That silence is what gives it away .. sleep apnea can be treated and in less severe cases a mouth piece can be used.

@padfoot-good thing to succumb to urge to sleep earlier. Sometimes you have to sort of catch up on sleep and there will be some evenings all you will want to do is have dinner, wash dishes, maybe get your stuff for next day ready, then go to sleep. No other chores, people, tv or even email will compete with your urge to sleep. OK, maybe moisturizer might need to be applied for that nice overnight softness on hands or chapped lips...
If there is some distraction, determine what you can do and give up on what you can't do then return focus on above tips again.

Suffering from fibromyalgia (amongst other health issues), for the past 5 yeaars, I'm lucky if I get more than 4 hours sleep in any given night. It takes a toll on a persons health. I have tried everything out there on the shelves, and all they do is make me feel like crap. My Dr's have tried several sleep meds, and all of them have the same effect, nothing.

I've learned over the years that 4 hours is it, and just get on with my day at that point. Sometimes, I'm lucky enough to be able to nap durning the day. About once or twice a week I will actually fall asleep for 20 or 30 minutes in the afternoon, but usually not.

I would say to anyone that is have a constant problem of not sleeping at night, speak with your Dr. Sometimes it's an indication of something different going on inside you. Better to err on the side of caution than take OTC meds for extended periods of time.
