Saw this advertised in the local Calgary (AB) Metro paper today:
"On Saturday, between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m., visitors will get a zoo admission price of $1.43, while regular Zoolights admission applies after 2 p.m.
In an effort to set a new record for yearly attendance, the Calgary Zoo is offering Calgarians a little incentive to come through the gates.
Zoo officials say they are trying to set a record of 1.4 million people through the gates in 2012 — a number that would smash the 24-year-old record of 1,332,024 people set in 1988 during the Winter Olympics and the giant panda exhibit.
Currently, the 2012 numbers are at 1,354,488."

Let us know how crazy the crowds are-I'm thinking twice now about going, or rather not going.
