Talked to my broker. Now I am waiting for a claims adjuster to call me so that I can get a rental.
I am wondering about the frame being bent as well, it just does not feel right driving.Try out the maven box by julep And code FREEFB, and get your box for one cent:

The rule here is Safety first! Do Not drive your car as it is! I know it costs money but take it to a body shop and see what they can do. We all have to suffer because crazy people drive drunk, reckless, etc. At the end of the day we all pay higher insurance rates. I hope you will get everything under control and I wish you good luck.

When I did a number on the van (hood crunched in, a couple thousand in damage) the car was in the shop about a week. It takes a lot to do damage to the frame. Mostly it's just the panels. They can usually pound out the damage or replace the panel and repaint. Usually for insurance they do the latter.
Is it sad that I know so much about body work and insurance?
You should start making a stink about the safety of the parking lot and get speed bumps put in.

Sorry about what happened !! .... the car might just be a bent rim on the side it was hit.. tho the damage doesn`t look like it ... get the mold problem looked at for sure .. but the cough might be the dehumidifier ? not saying it is, but, if the air is too dry I`ll get a cough. Anyways good luck with all thats going on !!
Oh and in the olden days I always had to shake the steering wheel to get the ign. interlock to free up. A habit I still do .......lolLast edited by newb; Wed, Dec 12th, 2012 at 11:16 AM. Reason: more info
The voices in my head may not be real, but they have some good ideas!
I have nothing to do today and hope to be half done by noon.

Yup, there is something else wrong with the car. We got it back from the shop, they fixed the mechanical issues. The body issues are being fixed on Monday (shop is backed up). The car makes a grinding noise when taking a quick left or a sharp left. The same sort of noise you hear in a car when you scrape the bottom coming out of a driveway.
The car goes back on Monday and I will be getting this checked.Try out the maven box by julep And code FREEFB, and get your box for one cent:

Sorry to hear that and just before Xmas.......As for the mold DO CALL THE PUBLIC HEALTH DEPARTEMENT this is a major issue and no you will not have any problem to leave. If it's really bad they will have you to leave your place and if it's not to bad they will make sure it's taking care and wile they are cleanning they will pay for your stay in a hotel. Well the landlord will pay or is assurance. That happen to one of my frend and that is what they did. Also they replace any damage furniture ect that is effected by the mold.....Wish you good luck with everything and also wish you and your family Merry Xmas.............

That is terrible about your car, people just have no respect for other peoples property these days
I would seriously consider getting out of that place due to the mold, one does not simply just clean mold. And coughing could be a sign of a much more serious problem - those mold spores can make way to your lungs and cause some serious damage, yes you can even die from mold exposure over a certain period of time (worst case scenario) I don't mean to scare you but it is not something that should be taken lightly that's for sure
