Oh this isn't good .. I just found I out I have diabetes
if I go thru any of this .. just shoot me pls ..


.....seems my dad isn't doing well however....diabetes has caused gangrene about 2/3 up his foot, but the docs won't amputate, saying his heart wouldn't survive the anaesthetic...bood pressure meds cause him to go into kidney failure, but kidney meds drop his blood pressure so he passes out ( which he did, and now has 8 stitches over his eye when he hit the edge of the dresser)....all he does is sleep, and the pain meds for his foot send his head squirrely, so he's on Advil or something like that, which obviously does nothing....
....I have to go down his place today, and go get bank stuff put jointly in my name....he needs to amend his will as well, so that I am the only executor.....hubby and his bro are co-executors on his dad's will, which is a right pain in the arse, cos he has to send every single piece of paper to New Brunswick to be signed by his bro....that would be my case as well, my sis is co-executor and she is in BC....same crap, different side of the country, so best to get that taken care of today....
....somehow I don't think he's long for this planet....he's tired and knows it, and he hopes he just goes to sleep and doesn't wake up....one of his docs doesn't want to see him for 4 months....I figure that could be the longest

Sorry about your dad and in the case of diabetes it is a disease which if maintained properly you can lead a normal life but you have to watch what you eat and do what your supposed to do when it comes to treating symptoms and checking your blood levels. My dad has diabetes as well and he is 85 now but he is also not so well. He is having kidney problems and does dialysis 3 times a week and sleeps a ton as well. I walk in the room he has his mouth wide open sleeping and i look to make sure hes breathing he looks that bad at times. Scary thought. At 85 though my dad maintains his diabetes very well and is always checking his levels and watching what he eats and drinks now. Follow doctors recomendations and you will be fine is what I'm getting at. Another long winded speel.

They made kids look so innocent back then, but I don't think they were that innocent! What a difference between now and then, just the way people dress!

I like watching some of the movies from the 50's and 60's that were supposed to be scary - they can be quite funny!
