Thread: walmart capilano frustration

Well i caused mass confusion, and big frustration for myself. Tried to buy the travelsize olay cream, using the $5 buy 2 PG coupon. I heard, things like "this does not make sense", "it does not look like the one in the picture", "it has to look like the one in the picture".

From what i understand it says on any olay. nowhere do i see any size restrictions or anything. They were also not aware of any new policy for the overage. i think i got 3 or 4 managers from whom i heard the above. Am i wrong on this or am i the fool.
I just left in frustration saying that i'll go to a different walmart that understand how these coupons work and their new policy.

You are absolutely correct. I had a cashier tell me the same thing about the photo and I corrected her. The photo is just a picture of 'some' of the products, usually the promotional products. The wording is what is important! If the photo was the case it would be very tough to coupon, not to mention you would be restricted to certain flavors. They are not accurate depictions of what you are allowed to purchase.
I now bring the coupon policy with me and hand it to them...

This is JUST WAL-MART BEING WAL-MART - maybe they will smarten up when they get some REAL COMPETITIION in Canada. They are absolutely the MOST DIFFICULT outfit to deal with on absoltely anything! I hope someone from Wal-Mart reads this stuff.

See and I had this same problem with Superstore and Walmart was my saving grace. I was trying to buy the travel size of nivea and the teller said she couldn't do it and then the supervisor came over and said that she was going to adjust how I used the coupon because it was going to give me an overage if I used it the way the coupon said. She said to me "It says $2 off a nivea product NOT we will pay for your other groceries" I was so upset and insulted I've written their head office. When I went to walmart to purchase them the same way I was trying to at RCSS and all the teller said was " wow that's a great deal!"
I'm thinking fighting with the tellers some times is just part of life when being a couponer.
