Horrible Start to the Holidays

first of all i'm not lookin for sympathy or anything

still suffering from a miserable cold

sinus pain and pressure, sore throat, sneezing , watery eyes

it started last tuesday with a bad chest cold

i was suppose to go to a christmas eve dinner

now i'm too sick to go

was going to attend Church services, had to cancell that too

i may not even make it to my Christmas dinner tomorrow

you just never know when that bloody virus will creep up on you

i blame my collegue who was sick with a bad cold

and passed it on to me, by coughin on my face

the only good thing is that i'm off until saturday

and i didn't have any travel plans this year

hopefully.... i will be well by then

Hope you are feeling better real soon. I remember one year me and my sister were so sick on Christmas that we refused to get up out of bed to even open our presents. We decided to celebrate the next day Here's hope in you feel better by New Year's.

frugal50, you have a right to be miffed! You have caught your fair share of things repeatedly. I wonder if starting a preventative strategy would help boost your immune system any? Some swear by Echinacea, others say that taking that ColdFX stuff works wonders. Have you considered any?
Also I do notice you eat many lunch and dinners from take outs, and get foods from your workplace for free. Is there any possibility the cleanliness of the food handlers are contributing to you catching things?

echniacea and coldfx are just a sales gimimick!
best prevention is hand hygiene
the food handlers don't prep the food
and if they did it would be a case of food poisining or samonella
but i do agree, that my diet of fastfoods isn't exactly kosher to my well-being

i have a weak immune system and is suseptible to gettting colds
my doctor told me there is a nasty virus going around
