I was just checking my Metro app for offers and it looks like they might finally be launching the Moi program in Ontario. Has anyone picked up a loyalty card in store yet? I'm hesitant to enrol for a digital card only as I tend to get lazy about pulling out my phone at checkout. Perhaps I can add it in later...would appreciate any insights

When I was at Metro today there was an electronic kiosk with info on signing up for Moi and Moi signage in store. I went to Customer service to pick up a card and the person there said cards won't be available until Thursday October 24, the actual launch day.

You actually have to create something called an indentifier first and I did that today. I stopped at the step where they ask for the physical card number, which I can't get. There's also an option of creating a digital card right now. I decided not to do that as I'm afraid I won't be allowed to use a physical card if I've already created a digital one. It's likely I can have both but don't want to take a chance.

The base earnings for Ontario is 1/3 of Quebec's. We only get 1 point for every $3 spent while Quebec only has to spend $1. To redeem, the minimum redemption is 500 points for $4 So you have to spend $1500 for $4 of base rewards or 0.267%. That's half the Air Miles base offer of 0.526%. Most of the savings should come from offers so we'll see what they give us.

Wow that doesn't seem fair that we'll only receive partial credits compared to Quebec Moi members.. hmm, we shall see.

I did sign up for a digital and was able to add it to my google wallet as well. It had most of my info already from online shopping.

Fingers crossed the program pans out okay. I've noticed that RBC Avion rewards has offered a few Metro promos in the past few months. Discounted Metro gift cards and now a 4% statement credit with a limit (it requires an opt in and runs partway into Nov I think)

Just want others to be aware. My partners Airmiles account was hacked sometime yesterday. Not sure how the did it but the used all his Airmiles to buy evoucher . He did not even got an email about the transaction . Never redeemed for evoucher before. I only realized late last night when I was trying to sign into his account and could not . Once he asked to change his password and he got in that’s when we know . Not sure hat AM will do about this all the evoucher was already used up. So be careful

I wonder if buying a gift card will count. There is nothing about category restrictions in the offer terms, but the Amazon page on airmilesshops still says they are excluded, although this might just be for reg. miles and not BAM..
