Hey Everyone.....
I'm a NEWBIE to couponing. I was inspired after watching "Extreme Couponing" a couple weeks ago.
Do newspapers in Ontario have weekly coupon inserts like the U.S.?.....or do we just have the Red Plum, & Smart Source?
Also, if I were to buy an American newspaper, would there coupons be valid in Ontario?
thanks for your help!!
I can certainly see how couponing becomes addicting.....I'm searching this forum all the time!

Welcome to Smart Canucks and couponing

In Canada there are newspaper inserts 1 or 2 times a month, not every week. The schedule for inserts is here. In addition to SmartSource and RedPlum there are P&G inserts. Those only come out every few months.
If you buy a US paper it will likely have US inserts in it, not Canadian. My parents buy the Detroit Free Press most Sundays and it only ever has US inserts in it.
I am not sure if you know this already, but another great way to get coupons is to sign up for a few web sites. save.ca, gocoupons.ca, brandsaver.ca and websaver.ca all offer coupons that will be mailed right to your home. There are also numerous extra coupons from those sites that can be found through special links - the special links are compiled in a great list here.~ Trade List ~ Let's Trade! ~ Wish List ~

Thanks so much. That helps a lot. I almost bought a Detroit Free Press today, but thought I'd better check on here first before I waste my money.

I did sign up on the coupon sites you mentioned, but didn't know about the 'special links'....thanks a bunch.
