Not weighing in...one more camping trip this upcoming week, but this weekend, a rehearsal tonight, wedding tomorrow, Baptism on Sunday, babysitting our grandson for the weekend...I don't think I'll be ready to hop on that diet bus until the week is over. I will, however, try to be good... Keep up the great work, everyone!! Have a lovely weekend!!

Down 2 to 143 as of this morning. I'm craving hearty food now that it's colder. Hopefully I don't indulge too much, good luck to everyone this weekend :)

That got my body out of whatever it thought was happening, if it felt it was starving, then I re-acquainted it with enough food to trick it back into losing for me. It worked every time. The trixy part is going back on the diet the next day. Not always easy, but always rewarding climbing over that plateau. Whatever works, right?

Loved all the posts everyone, we have all had some pleasant losses or maintained ( which is always a success I say!) I am holding tight ( ok holding jiggly ) at 189 lbs, but yikes it sure seems a far cry from the weight I had achieved last summer eh? ( 160 lbs)
That is still fine though since this juicing has me feeling awesome! I will take that any day over watching the scale. I do eat meals of course and supplement with the juices, it seems like the best of both worlds right now.
Carry on soldiers!!

I totally agree walkonby, the juice is a real energy boost. I made 6 liters yesterday, still getting the stuff from my garden and using the frozen blueberries we picked last month.
Yesterday I made stuffed grape leaves, I am making chili today, hummus, chick pea burgers, cabbage rolls and whole wheat pasta lasagna. Going to steam a bunch of carrots, boil some beets and make mashed potatoes. This should do us for a while. Oh and more potato/sweet potato soup as per Kevin's request. Yesterday I soaked the beans and chick peas and made all the rice, brown basmati. Looks gloomy outside so perfect day to be inside and cook.
The stuffed grape leaves are half gone though already, Kevin has discovered them which mean he will eat 10 at a time lol, I love that he is trying all kinds of new things but now they won't last more than a few days, actually I suspect they will be gone today :P. They are so time consuming to make , oh well. I told DH we better hide a few :)
Here's to a healthy week!!!

oh gosh I just chuckle when I envision your DS woofing back the food you labour to make ( I know we do it out of love ) but they can really put that stuff away fast. I too made batches of green and red juices about 1 hour ago, I am set till Sunday night, then I will do some up late Sunday evening for the work week. Love getting the stuff fresh every few days, no waste that way no wilting sitting in my fridge. Love that the garden yielded you so much, fantastic!

I think I am going to need some gardening tips from you veterans next growing season. I need some yard yield. lol. In the meantime I have ordered a good food box. Once a month for $15 and is a huge box of locally grown organic fruits and veggies. Being that I spent $5 on green grapes the other shop, I am thinking this will turn out well. Will post a pic when it arrives.

Now that we know about Oreo peanut butter, we can die happy
13 hrs ago
It is not a difficult concept. Peanut butter, meet Oreo. And yet, we're shocked that it took this long for some person, nay, genius, to come up with it. Dorothy Kern of Crazy for Crust mentions using her Cuisinart 12-cup food processor, and that all sounds well and good, but frankly, we might use a mortar and pestle to get the consistency right just so we could then eat this all out of the jar with a spoon while binge-watching "Orange is the New Black." Kern recommends using honey-roasted peanuts, which we support, because man, are honey-roasted peanuts delicious; however, use whatever peanuts you want. Then put the Oreos in and blend until smooth. Then comes the aforementioned bingeing. But it's OK. We're not here to judge. Just to eat things like this.
