Gosh, that's tough, Hon. Her care-giver arrived every day at 8am, so no waiting around, but with your mom incontinent you certainly need to be on call...You really are between a rock and a hard place...so sorry for what you're going through.....

Ok so first weigh in and I am down from Monday 3.3 lbs. Gone is the xmas bloat :P. Now on to losing the real numbers.
Up 1 lb. Go figure. But it's been only a couple of days, so maybe I'm hanging on to
some water; DD insists I drink at least 8 glasses of the stuff a day...I'm trying!!
Congrats, Patty...that's such a nice number to start off with!!!
I haven't weighed in for about a month and I'm down 15! Wow! I've been trying to stick to WW as much as possible over the holidays but figured I'd maintain. So happy to see more loss.
Keep up the good fight everyone. :)
OMG you are kicked out of the group for being too skinny!!!! :P
yeah scram!!

I said I was starting Monday right?? So why did I buy lasagna and pastries today? A memory lapse I think.
I am so on the fence, I was doing so well earlier this year and than everything fell apart. Darn life getting in my way, everything crashed in at once. I need to start eating better and working out again but I need to take it slow as I still feel like I am on a emotional roller coaster than could drop at any moment.
Patty: So sorry to hear about your family situation, I totally get it. I have lost 3 of my grandparents since I was 16, now my Oma is sick and Opa had a really hard time finding help with her. At first everything looked great we were offered all sorts of help but in the end the support we got was not the support that was given.
Curt: I know I maybe a little late but I get what you mean. Sometimes what everyone thinks will make them happy does not. I cannot tell you how many times people tell me to look at my life and tell me I should be happy, I have a stable secure full time job, and everything looks great on the outside yet still most nights I was getting off working going home falling apart (which lead to weight to loss as after my freak out I could not eat, I was living off a buttered bun a day which I had for lunch at work). Hoping things start to look up for you. It is a new year, is all I can say. I know I am hoping for a better 2014 than 2013 as I do not think I could get through another 2013 without a vacca with padded walls (please do not take my comment badly, I am a smart a** it is how I deal and cope and do not mean to offend anyone).
Because it was right there lol, sorry I have the same issue I never know how it happens. I go in to buy produce and walk out with stuff off the 50% off bakery rack, I never know how it ended up in the cart or why I buy so much but it just happens. Than I remind myself if I am too strict with myself I will fail, I need little cheats here and there to keep me on track.
We absolutely DO need to treat ourselves and have those thing we normally deny ourselves in the name of diet. I lost 50 lbs last year, Ashley, and still had my wine on weekends watching NFL games (my passion), and Sundays I had whatever I wanted! Thing is, eventually those "things" just lost their appeal. But when I absolutely had to have that A&W burger, I had it! lol! I might have lost faster without those treats, but I sure didn't automatically gain back all that weight, either! I have put back some of my loss over the summer and holidays because I wasn't watching what I was eating at all, but certainly not as much had I crash-dieted.
We're not machines; we like our rewards, even if they are glasses of wine or a chocolate bar.
Occasionally.
You know what? We were discussing goals....what I'd love to be able to do this summer is wear a dress. Not even a sun-dress..just a nice shirt-dress. Our DD says I can wear one anytime, bless her heart, but I feel as if the skirt part is waaaayyy out there, hanging from my hips. I'm an XL right now, and I don't know when I'll be able to do it, but gosh...it sure would be nice...I haven't worn a dress or skirt for...whoa...20 years?
Ohhhh...scratch the shirt-dress. I want this one.

What's your dream dress after your weight-loss? :)
Well, i am back once again.
sitting in the lobby of the gym waiting to sign up....
i am proud to say that my weight over christmas remained the same, so it is time to get more serious.
Was waiting for you to show up :P
Well, I finally lost those 2lbs...one that I put ON after starting this diet, plus one more. I guess DD was right: sometimes a gain can take a couple of days to show up, so even tho' I started it, my body was still accumulating...lol!
...but my Packers are losing...:(
