Oh my......I never, ever came across a Doxie in my life until I saw wee Jenny...now I'd not have another breed, ever!!!
Love your Doxie pics......and .... ahem ... I prefer to say I've lost 58.3 lbs! LOL!!!
Okay, okay....I'll do better from now on...no more excuses, OR holidays coming up!!
Best behavior everyone!!! :)
I see that doxie Lynn, and I just know that's who our MAGGIE is going to look. she has those ears, those eyes, those super soft paws, and of coarse that look....but with attitude!!!
IF that's the case, Holly...I suggest you start practicing: "No, Maggie."..."I said no, and I mean it, Maggie."...."Okay. Just this ONCE, though, Maggie."....
They say Doxies speak with their eyes. Good luck with that!!
I am hoping to have a better final 2 weeks of February, not sure if it's the stress but my BP is not where I want it to be.
It's not dangerously high like it was and I know themore weight I lose the lower it will go but I am anxious for it to be normal again. Nevewr had high BP until I got pregnant and after the last kid it did not go down to where is was before. :(
Looks like my dad may be home by the weekend. He goes for his evaluation on Wednesday and they will decide then. I think he will be home, he is walking on his own again and is pretty much back to his baseline.
It's been a rough day :P

Patty!! Are ya trying to scare the pounds off my butt??!
So we got word today my dad is allowed out for the weekend. friday at 4 until sunday at 7. It's a trial run.
Geez, Patty...this sure is a rough time for you and having higher BP is worrying...I'm quite sure if I were in your shoes I'd be eating my way through the ice-cream at MarbleSlab every day! I know that when my Mom was getting worse, the last thing I worried about was my weight. Which is the problem I'm wrestling with now. Better days, Patty....better days ahead, I hope!
On a positive note: you know what works wonders for a diet??
Trying on a lovely t-shirt from Cleos that my DD said looked "fantastic" on me, yet I felt it made me look like a sausage in too-tight a casing, and finding it LOOSE this time!! Yahoo! (to quote a friend...lol) Now I think I'll not have anything more than that cuppa peppermint tea, thankewverymuch! ;)
On another note: I really need to purchase a couple new bras. I'm quite drifting around in the ones I have now!!
One of the things we do as fatties is have a hard time seeing ourselves any other way, at least for me. SO when I go clothes shopping I still buy the loose fitting cover every lump shirts. My friend used to kill me every time we went shopping she would say why are you buying all these loose things :( . She who is a size 0 :P
LOL...my best friend was always a size 0-3ish, and I was (WAS!) a 22....each of us had trouble buying clothes we actually liked.
As for buying those baggier clothes, I have my daughter to thank for getting me into...not tight, but shaped t-shirts and blouses. She always said things like ...so you think putting on a tent hides your body?! To be fair, I never wore a tent, but I did like things looser. Well, Hon, not any more. This latest top is a beige wide scoop-neck t-shirt with some "tasteful" (her words) embellishments on it, and it's shaped at the waist (I have one now!), and although I still like longer ones, it's at least fitted.
But you're so right about body image. Until I saw myself through my husband's and her eyes and accepted the fact that I don't need to hide anymore, I always saw myself as fat. I don't anymore. Even at a size 18, I'm feeling pretty darn good about myself! :)
A lot of people don't realize, but when you wear the "tents", loose fitting clothes, it actually make you look bigger than you are. Sure, it many make you feel more comfortable, but it does nothing for a person body, whether it be large or small. We all have a waist and breasts, and no matter what size it is, if the clothing is more fitted, we ladies can always look FABULOUS! Patty, I hope it all goes well with the trial run this weekend. As far as your BP, that's the last thing you needed right now......Dear lord, Please give this lady a break!!!!!!
